His educational background is in Economics and Accounting and he holds a Master of Laws Degree in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. While Mr. Cate has been a member of the Bar since 1970, his career has included extensive experience in Financial and Investment Planning, Investment Banking, and Insurance. He has also represented defendants in criminal cases in D.C. Superior Court, the D.C.         Mr. Cate gets the job done and knows the IRS inside and out. He has always come through for me 100%. He has earned my trust by assisting me with personal and business tax issues and always delivered positive results with no surprises. He is a nice guy, easy to deal with, explains things thoroughly and clearly, and has always dealt fairly and equitably with me. I count on him and highly recommend him.
