Owner, Doug, emailed me & called me on Sunday to arrange repair for next day. The technician, Cary, came at assigned time window. He removed my 1 large broken tension spring and replaced with 2 springs. He changed all rollers from metal to nylon. He recommended to change the worn out end plates. He completed the repair within 1.5 hours. Last, Cary reprogrammed garage door opener to ensure prefect seal with floor. My garage door has never been so quiet that now we hardly know if someone is

parking a car. Believe me, the internet shows you how but Independent Overhead Doors (IOD) are the experts in garage repair. Well worth the money $$$.

My tension spring broke on my door. Called Doug at 8 a.m. and he returned call within 15 minutes. Said they could be out here between 9 and 10. Was here at 9 and done by 9:45. Very happy with his service. Highly recommend. Will be getting my business again and will be letting all my neighbors and friends know who to call.

I was so pleased with Doug and his service. He was able to come out the same day and was very reasonably priced! I had two other companies out prior to his and they tried to tack on unnecessary extras and came up with very expensive repair estimates. Doug did not do this at all and fixed what was absolutely necessary to get the door functioning again. He has our business for life.

Cary came early and did the job quick. He was friendly and informative. He double check the safety feature to make sure it was working correctly. Overall, it was a professional and quality work for reasonable price. I could not ask for anything more.

My garage door came off the track and the cable was broken. I called Doug of Independent Overhead Doors on Sunday afternoon and he came out the next morning at the agreed upon time. It took him about 45 minutes to complete the repair and his charges were very reasonable. I was extremely pleased with his work, prices and professionalism. I woke up this morning to find the torsion spring on my garage door snapped in half - I called around 8:30 and Doug showed up by 9:30, with the correct replacement part, and was finished with the repair in 20 minutes or less. And, all for what I consider to be a very reasonable price. Wow!



I would not hesitate to call Doug @ IOD for any future garage door needs.

I was debating to either replace my opener myself or have a profesional do it. I called around and Independent had the best price so I decided to let I.O.D. replace the unit.

He was very knowledgable with the unit he was installing

Price was much cheaper than others (comparing the same unit) around $320 out the door for a belt driven unit.

I called Independent Overhead Doors based on the reviews I found here. I'm so glad I did. I called late this morning and he showed up in 2 hours (this is Saturday) to fix our torsion spring. Doug is very professional and a nice guy, couldn't ask for better! He had it totally repaired in less than 30 mins, including spraying lube on all the joints & tracks on our door, good as new. It also cost a lot less than I expected to have to pay. Would recommend to anyone and everyone! Best service experience ever!!

The repairman arrived on time with all possibly needed supplies. He was fast and went the extra mile to ensure that the door not only was repaired, but also ensured nothing was damaged in the garage. The price was reasonable. I recommend this business.

Called out for repairs on a saturday morning, he arrived as promised, with in an hour. Doug showed up prepaired, courtious and professional. He was finished quickly and for less than i had expected. I'd reccomend this guy anytime.

Broken torsion spring on my garage door. Called on a Saturday and he worked me in that afternoon. Replaced both springs with the same gage as what was previously installed, but he concluded these were the wrong gage for my door. He stayed longer to install a pair of heavier gage springs, and these worked much better - the door opened easier with less stress on the door opener.



The original quote was fair, and he did not expect anything more for the extra effort. I was very happy with his conscientious work and tipped him $20 - you just have to reward guys like this for a job well done.

One of my torsion springs broke, so I looked in yellow pages and found I.O.D. When I called I got a person and not a machine, which was very nice. I explained my problem and he was able to work me in on the same day. He arrived on time and completed the work in the time he said he would. He charged what I considered to be a fair price (35% less than other company's). I also was pleased to see a "cross" on his business card. That would explain the fair business transaction I received. Excellent response time and competive pricing. I enjoyed the mannerism of this service company that respected me for a valuable customer. I had a window in what once was a garage and now it is a garage once again. This company removed the window and the wall reframing and reingstalling a new garage door. I appreciate the quote and the finished work not to mention the very reasonable pricing..
