The worse service ever. I have to call them for my customers in a regular basis and they are the most rude people. Not only the cab drivers but the dispatchers. If you need a taxi, call the other company, because this one will treat you without respect and without manners. They won't respect the reservations , the taxi drivers will get into a fight for the customers,, if 2 of them show up at the same time. They would yell at each other in front of the people. And if you complaint to the operator they will yell at you too so, like I said before, if you need a taxi, call the competition, because Yellow Cab is horrible

And I have to give them one star because the website needs it but they don't even deserve half of one

Alaska Yellow Cab operators have the worse customer service ever. They are very rude.

With not many options here in Anchorage, they abuse.and treat the people horrible.

The 98% of the taxi drivers with this company are awful too... I work in an industry where I have to call them all the time and they even fight in front of the customers. They don't have respect for the people and if you call the operator to complain about the driver's attitude, they are worse. They yell at you like the drivers. They don't deserve even a half star

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I was driving home from work when one of their cabs tailgated me even though I was going over the speed limit. He finally gave up on bullying me, so he swerved into the next lane and side-swiped another car. When I called the company to let them know, they said "sorry, we don't directly address driver behavior because the taxi's are privately owned vehicles"

The woman then suggested I call the police, but since I had no plate number and cabs are obviously similar in appearance... well.. you do the math. Stay away.

Called over estimated their arivel time by an order or magnitude. No concern when I called to cancel. Its the monopoly they have that allows then to provide such service.

SHAME DRIVER number 147 !!!!!!! , There are drivers that are very disappointing CLINIC call and order a yellow cab in 4.55 pm. and was closed at 5 pm . A sick person was waited outside 2 HOURS THIS TAXI never came. i call to clearify something and the dispatch hangs up on me without answering my question not once but the second time that i called dispatch starts being rude every 5-10 minutes she said, The DRIVER it'll call you, but ...... DRIVER number 147 not call and will not appear !!!!!!! Anchorage People DO NOT USE YELLOW CAB!


There are drivers that are very disappointing. They don't give the right change.. I am giving tips but they arent giving me the right change. I paid 16 bucks but it should be 4 bucks only. I gave 20 and gave me 4 bucks and he got away with another passenger.. Im tired enough just to argue on a driver.. But they should actually give te right change not waiting or the passenger to tell that. Second, sometimes cabs take later than 30 minutes, it is annoying to wait that long specially when u are in a hurry.



NASTY Service

I will never call yellow cab for a cab again . It sucks that their phone number is so easy to remember because even after I promised myself to never call them I was in a situation where I needed a cab fast and didn't have time to try to find the number for checker cab. Last year around Christmas I had gotten a ride from yellow cab the fee was $11.50 I had a card that I was sure had $12 on it but when the driver ran the card it was declining. So I suggested that I would ask my friend whose house I got a ride too and see if she could help out with a couple bucks and the cab driver insisted in not letting me out of his sight standing right next to me as I tried pleading for any kind of money after being rejected I told the cab driver that I was certain I had enough money on the card and to call the balance on it. By this point he was so angry with me he starting yelling and cursing at me saying that "you think I'm nig**** ! You try and f*** me !" I was scared at this point and he then grabbed my purse out of my clenching fists and said "I keep this till you pay ! " I called dispatch to retrieve my purse and since It didn't cross my mind to look at the cab number they made it sound like I was dumb for not getting it plus apparently the cab drivers own their cab vehicles and even take them home with them . Yellow cab is disgustingly rude and I wish I could put them out of business.



Terrible All Around

I had anchorage yellow cab pick me up from a hospital in anchorage after my 3 year old had surgery. The driver was rude from the start. Upon arrival at our destination I was informed that he could not take a card (the yellow cab website advertises in several places that they take all major credit cards) so I told him I would try the ATM. After that didn't work I made several suggestions like calling the company to pay over the phone all of which he said no or I don't have time for this and kept insisting I get back in the cab to go to a bank (which would have cost me more money of course) to get him cash. When I informed him that the bank was closed and I only had a credit card, not an ATM card he finally said "ok I can take your card." Why he could magically take my card after all cash options were exhausted is beyond me. Through all of this my post surgery three year old was standing in the snow watching his mother, near tears, being needlessly harassed by the driver. When I called the company I was told by the extremely rude dispatcher that they had no record of me being in the cab right before she hung up on me mid-sentence. I will absolutely never get in an anchorage yellow cab again. If rather walk a mile over hot coals.




I'm only giving a 1 star rating because no stars is not an opotion.Anchorage People DO NOT USE YELLOW CAB! They are thieves and liars! I went to Koots on Friday night to see Tone Loc. My girlfriend and I left Koots and just hopped into one of the available cabs that were lined up outside. As soon as he dropped me off I realized I did not have my cell phone. I immediately called dispatch and asked them to send the cab back. Dispatch told me that they did not know what cab I was in and blamed it on me for not knowing the cab #, they told me to try back the next night when the night shift would return to work. I called and texted my phone right away offering a reward to have it returned to me. I called dispatch several times, I tried calling their business number, I tried to go to the dispatch office (but it’s not at the address listed on the internet and when I called asking their location they would not tell me) all to no avail. I returned to Kenai and shut off service to my phone. The next day I again tried to call yellow cab and got the run around. When I said that I was going to file a police report, they said “go ahead it’s a free country” I got a text from AT&T this morning saying that I had exceeded my international usage by 400 dollars. When I checked my usage on line it shows that 4 MINUTES after I was out of the cab that someone was using my phone to call Ethiopia and Somalia. I filed a police report; I filed a report with the department of transportation and the BBB. I again contacted Yellow Cab and the lady that I spoke with told me that I was drunk in the middle of the night and got into a car that I didn’t know. She then told me “it wasn’t like he took the phone right out of your hand.” If these people are this shady it scares me to think what one of them might do to a passenger, knowing that there will be no repercussions and that their dispatch will aid and abet them in criminal activity. Please be warned and share this status if you are in Anchorage. Yellow Cab is shady to say the least and their actions from the drivers to dispatch to their “business” office is nothing short of criminal!!!

Just about the worst customer ...

Just about the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The dispatcher had a short temper when I couldn't understand what she was saying and promptly hung up on me.

I had a terrible experience with AK Yellowcab dispatch and customer service. They do not value a positive customer experience. Beware of AK Yellow Cab!


It was a HORRIBLE experiance with this cab company... my husband waited 3 and half hours for a cab with them he called about six time asking if they were coming and each time it they said in twenty mins or so end up being 3 hours....

I am NEVER using them again!!!!
