About Ellzey's John David Ellzey, Sr., founder and owner, of Ellzey's Squirrel Forms since 1983, is a master taxidermist and sculptor. His squirrel mannikins are known world over as the most accurate and anatomically correct mannikins. Each is an original creation sculptured and molded by John David. In 1986, with 43 sculptures that were pictured on a flier along with John David, it began, a dream come true for an up and coming young taxidermist and sculptor. In 1988, the first Ellzey's Squirrel Forms Catalog # 1 was printed with 66 True to Life Squirrel Forms by Ellzey. As time has progressed, John David and his original creations have become well known across the United States, Canada, and internationally. Today, with more than 300 sculptures, created and molded by John David, Ellzey's Squirrel Forms has become known as the largest squirrel form supply company worldwide. John David has broadened his reach to the taxidermist by the addition of three new squirrel mounting videos, an instructional squirrel mounting book, seminar classes for anyone wanting to learn first hand from the master himself, and a wholesale service for taxidermists who have more squirrels than time to mount them.
