I used to get my hair done at a very well known salon in Ridgewood for many years. After paying top dollar for "Senior Stylist" colors and cuts my hairdresser at this salon treated me like a piece of garbage, when I asked for someone else to apply my color, during my normally scheduled visit, as she was going to be on vacation. I hung up the phone, called a good friend and she recommended I speak to Doree. That was 7 years ago and I have not set foot in that Ridgewood Salon since! Doree is the ULTIMATE Professional. Works hard, ACTUALLY CARES about her clients, even when she has to take time off. The products used at the salon are gentle on the hair and superior to any other color I have received anywhere to date...and I get my roots touched up every two weeks. I am so happy I left that over-rated, over-priced salon and was introduced to Doree at Allendale Hair Studo!

My good friend Ellen has the most beautiful hair of all my friends and is always getting compliments so of course I had to switch hairdressers, especially when Doree is 5 minutes from my office. In the past 2-2 1/2 years of seeing Doree on a regular basis my hair has improved 200% - it was damaged due to inexperienced colorists where I use to go. Now my hair is long wavy and healthy and the most beautiful blonde color. If there were 11 stars it still would not be enough to rate Doree's expertise. She truly is a wonderful warm person who knows her business!!

Doree is a true master at hair and she is also one of the most honest, nicest and caring people I know. She also uses the best products that are super gentle on the hair. I always look forward to going to get my hair done and also just to have our little chats. It has been 4 Years since I have been going to Doree and she knows she is the only one that is allowed to touch my hair because she is that FABULOUS! She can make hair miracles happen!!!!!

I walked into see Doree after a horrible experience with a professional hair dresser – I was extremely embarrassed to walk around with my hair the way he left it. I hair was burnt and miss treated. The worst experience ever!!



Doree took the time to explain what happened and what we can do to fix the problems and was honest about the process. She was extremely knowledgeable and patience with me. Doree is the best! She really takes the time to listen to your needs and makes sure you are happy. Every time I go there she asks what I like and don't like about the color and style and we tweek things a bit since I am always changing my mind. The color is always fab!!! I have medium blonde hair, I've been to so many salons that say "color expert" and I have had nothing but horror stories! I wanted my hair a soft light auburn and 2 other salons said it couldn't be done?! The first salon insisted the only way to do this is to do a full head of very expensive high lights then tone over it.. my hair was GREEN! The next salon said they could only use a demi and that what I wanted was ORANGE hair. Orange??? NO! Auburn, I left with muddy color and was going to give up. I found Doree from reviews online, and even then I was afraid, until I met her! I was greeted with a big smile and I liked her at once, this is not you average experience in a salon or anywhere! She brought over her tablet and took my picture, then we looked at pictures together, she saved the photos I wanted and said "no problem, you will look amazing with this color!" I did have to wait for the appointment (she is crazy busy even though she works until 10:30 at night!) but even the wait was fun! We emailed back and forth with pictures of ideas for cuts and colors.. I was so excited... MY HAIR IS PERFECT! The color is perfect! my hair is healthy, shiny and amazing! Its been 2 years now and every time I look in the mirror i LOVE MY HAIR!

My search is over! I have curly hair and looking for someone that knows how to color and cut it has been a struggle. Until I met Doree, she is amazing and really knows her stuff. My first consultation with her I fell in love and I knew that my first visit for my color and cut was not going to be my last. Not only do I have curly hair but also I do have a lot of grey so I am an avid about coloring regularly. My hair and scalp has never felt healthier. Doree uses only the best color health wise on you. I have been going to Doree for over 3 years, and I am happy to say I finally found someone that gets it! After trying many other stylists in the area, I was thrilled to find Doree, who really listens to what you want. I decided to give her a try becasue she was listed as a Master Colorist and curly hair specialist, but that truly doesnt do her justice. She is always pleasant and patient, and is not happy unless her clients are happy! I have recommended many friends to her and they have all been happy, too.

I have been a client of Doree for almost a year now. I stumbled upon Doree's name when I did a google search for "color correction expert in NJ." After reading her bio and numerous positive reviews I scheduled an appointment. A year later I can wholeheartedly say it was the single best decision I made for myself and my hair. When I walked into my 1st appointment with Doree, my hair was fried and literally breaking off from over bleaching, and the most awful brassy yellow blond color. Other colorists that I had consulted with for color correction told me my hair was too fragile and there was nothing they could really do, but Doree was so encouraging and positive. She spent the time to show me ways to achieve a lighter color without bleaching, explained which tones would compliment my natural coloring, and gave me tips on how to get my hair healthy again. She literally has transformed my hair. My color is gorgeous and my hair is shiny and healthy again. I have been to many salons and colorists over the years and she simply is the BEST, I would recommend her to anyone!!

Doree is a great colorist and knows how to cut curly hair. I used to go into NYC but she takes so many classes for curly hair that I don't need to!

Doree is a consummate professional. My hair looks great even tho it is colored AND permed. She took the time to explain the process to me, and showed me how to take care of my hair to prevent damage. Both the color and the curl look natural and I always get compliments on my hair.

While I know that Doree is a “Master Colorist” I feel that the classification minimizes her expertise. She is truly a “Master Colorist and Master Hair Stylist.” Recently, Doree has been very excited about a new process, Keratin infusion blow dry that she created. It would be “life-altering” she prom...ised. I was apprehensive but I finally acquiesced. I have been washing my hair every single day for the last 35 years. Since the keratin infusion blow dry treatment, I am washing my hair twice a week, blow drying takes half the time, and my hair consistently looks amazing. Everyday is a great hair day. My calculations show that I will be saving 4 ½ days of blow drying a year! The next product in Doree’s bag of tricks is INOA new ammonia free color. Looking forward my next appointment. LOVE YOU DOREE
