Property Management Associates Inc

This is the worst, most inattentive property management company I have ever encountered in the many years I have owned commercial real estate. My customer experience with Property Management Associates has been very long, frustrating and disappointing. Alice has been consistently incompetent and unresponsive when addressing the needs of this condo owner. She is never available when I call the property management office to speak with her on the telephone and it takes days for her to return a call, if she returns the call at all. Her approach is to ignore the unit owner and drag the process out until they become discouraged and give up. I have had to contact the City of Alexandria Code Enforcement office several times on three different important health and safety related issues to get the problems fixed. Alice would rather argue with the inspectors and owners instead of taking responsibility and correcting the deficiency. How much effort and professional courtesy would it have taken to securely reinstall a second floor exterior window screen that prevented flies and other insects from entering my unit last summer? A unit owner should not have to consult the City of Alexandria Managers office or an attorney to get a hole in the roof of the building repaired. The business directory at the front of the building has companies listed that left the complex more than four years ago. Newer owners and tenants are not listed at all, making it difficult for clients and patients to find these businesses. The Quaker Professional Square condominium documents specify the type and design of signage owners and tenants should use. This is not enforced by Property Management Associates and it effects the overall appearance and professionalism of the complex. If it were up to me I would have fired lazy Alice and this worthless company many years ago. Do yourself a big favor and do not rent from or employ this unprofessional and irresponsible company.
