        At Rio Grande Animal Hospital, we are a full service small animal hospital with 2 doctors and a full staff of experienced, compassionate professionals. We provide a full array of services for dogs, cats, and rabbits and have served the North Valley community for over 40 years at this location! Our patients come from Old Town, the Country Club area, downtown and all over the Valley. During your appointment with us, we can discuss any wellness issue you may want - from new pet acquisitions to our senior family members. We tailor vaccine programs to each individual and will always discuss preventative care like heartworm disease, intestinal parasites, diet - just to name a few. If you require further care, we can perform most bloodtests to keep your pet healthy and we also provide full digital radiology services, surgery, and dental health care. We also have a wide range of specialists available in town if your pet happens to need special attention.

        Love my vets here

        Everyone here is kind and compasionate for you and your pet. Bothe the doctors, vet tech and receptionist will do their best to take care of you whether you are veteran pet owner or a newbie. Would recommend to everyone.

        I transferred my pets to Rio Grande Animal Hospital from a veterinarian I had been using for years. The veterinarians at Rio Grande give great personal attention and seem genuinely interested in both pets and their owners. The prices are reasonable and the location is very convenient for the North Valley. I highly recommend!

        I have been a client of the Rio Grande Animal Clinic for almost thirty-years. They are extremely accommodating and caring. The staff are very professional and understanding. It is not an assembly-line impersonal operation like so many. I highly endorse these very fine and dedicated people! I didn't know this web site existed `till just now.
