He'd obviously studied images of our situation closely and was well-prepared with an initial estimate. The estimate was subject to revision depending on what was discovered during the work; for instance some areas weren't visible in the images we sent him. Also, we weren't sure of the condition of the ductwork hidden by layers of dust. However the final result was exactly in line with the original estimate.
