Albuquerque Heights Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center

I would stay away from this facility at all costs. I had terrible experiences there. Their control and record keeping of medicine dispensing is awful. I was in pain for 16 hours and was told that I could not get more pain medication as I had already had what I was supposed to have. Of course, they just could not keep track of what patients' were getting and I should have been able to get the pain medication hours before. I suffered needlessly for hours. Another time they almost gave me medication that was not for me. I realized it was not for me and refused it so I was lucky.

They were supposed to do rehab, Physical Therapy but cancelled multiple times.

There were constant problems. Even the list of medications I was taking home were wrong. I would not sign for them until the list was corrected.

There was water on the floor yet no one moved to wipe it up until my friend asked them do wipe it up.

These are only a few of the problems at this facility.

Don't be deceived by the physical environment which looks nice. The only good thing was the food.

If I didnt have to give stars i wouldnt. If you love your parents stay as far away from this dump as possible. My mother was there and her first day no one would empty her neph bags and they were so full and hanging from the bed to the point she was crying bc of pain. She had been asking all day for them to also empty her ostomy bag. They would say ill be right bag and never return to do it. A nice man finally came in and did it and informed us that ppl dont like to do it. If thats the case then get a new job. A few days later she became septic and had strokes. NO ONE CALLED ME! My mother could speak the night before and the next morning she couldnt. If i hadnt of called my mom and then called the nurse there the end result could of been way worse. Then when i asked for awnsers they tried to blow me off and then wouldnt awnser them. Can you say cover up! I asked them to pack up her personal items. They packed half and it was hell getting the rest back. Avoid this place at all cost.
