C & G Paving

C&G did an impressive job with my driveway. Jeff was responsive through the process and very honest about what I could expect. They tried to work with my schedule, and did my drive in one day, grading and paving. A large and obviously experienced showed up to do the work. It looks great, and I know I'll enjoy it for decades to come. I got three quotes and theirs was one of the most reasonable, and I felt very comfortable at every step working with their crew.

I'm very particular about our home and property appearance. My old driveway had to be removed and a new retaining wall had to be built. Jeff arranged for the removal of the driveway and construction of the retaining wall, then C & G did the final grading and paving of the driveway. The two sub-contractors were great and C & G did an outstanding job with the grading and paving. The guys doing the grading and paving were easy to work with and took care of all of my requests. I'm very pleased with the final product.

A little more than a year ago I decided to expand and pave my driveway. I spoke to some of my friends, and hopped online to do my due diligence. I kept coming across C&G Paving. I gave Jeff a call and was not disappointed at all! Not only was I paving my driveway, but I was also expanding it. Jeff and Chad came by the property and met with me to clear up any questions I may have had. When work started this past Monday the fellas working on the expansion were done in one day and it looked stellar. Less than two days later the pavers from C&G were at my driveway and in less than 8 hours exceeded all of my expectations. The three gentlemen I met were obviously very good at what they do, and also very proud to be doing it. I cannot recommend this business enough! Thanks for the OUTSTANDING work!

We took advantage of early completion of another job in the area, so our schedule was opportunistic. Accurate and reasonable estimate that matched the invoice. Excellent paving job by a very efficient crew who finished much quicker than expected. Good advice by Jeff to delay driving on the new asphalt given the generally high temperatures. Both a very nice looking job and, best we can tell at this early stage, a very solid and serviceable pavement that should outlive the 25 year life of the driveway they removed and replaced. Very satisfactory experience.

From the start, Jeff Gray, his son Troy and the rest of their team were a pleasure to deal with and, thankfully, their quote was the most competitive. The level of communication was superb, even when Jeff was on vacation the week prior to the scheduled start. When constant rain postponed the job for a week, he was in touch almost every day. His demolition team went the extra mile to grade the transition from my driveway to the main road sufficiently to smooth things out. When it looked like we had a one-day break in the rain, the paving team worked from early morning until around 6:30 pm to get the whole job done in a day, and the work was terrific. There were complicated spots where the driveway met the house and garage, and they made sure everything met with no gaps, rough spots or poor grades. I highly recommend C & G to anyone with an asphalt paving job in this area.

I live in a rural area and getting contractors to your home can be problematic. Jeff was the first to respond to my request for an estimate, the day after i asked for one. He came out right away and scoped out the existing stone driveway and I had an estimate two days later. His was not the lowest but it was very competitive and the lowest bidder took 2 weeks to get me a quote, not a good sign. I value responsiveness, prompt and quality service and Jeff delivered on all three. There was quite a queue before me but timing was very flexible. He gave me due notice when the crew would show up so I could get things ready on my end. His crew showed up right on time and what a crew it was! Originally Jeff though it would take two days to grade, prep and pave my 731 foot driveway. Things went like clockwork and the grading was done in no time and the paving began. Dump trucks of asphalt were coming just as the previous one was done so the only break came a lunch time. This crew was experienced and had worked together on many occasions. I love that my job was not their first and they each knew their job and did it well and timely. They were done by 4:00 in the afternoon despite having to do a lot of manual tamping around landscaping areas. The driveway looked great! Followed their instructions and stayed off the new surface for 7 days. I have waited to to do this review and see if any cracks developed or rain pooling occurred. Glad to report that neither happened, their prep work was fantastic! Jeff followed up afterwards to make sure I was happy which I appreciated. Had a great experience with C&G Paving and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Excellent work. C&G got the job done ahead of schedule and on budget (which was lower than anticipated). They not only met but exceeded expectations on the final product (residential driveway) which is gorgeous. They were easily able to accommodate customizations to our driveway footprint, even on the fly. Even graded to my specifications for water runoff. Highly Recommended!

Jeff and his crew did an awesome job on our driveway. Not only did they go above and beyond the call to get the job done, we were impressed on how polite and courteous the crew was. They were so careful paving around our island in the center of the driveway that it now has become a very focal point of the front yard. After acquiring 3 bids for asphalt driveways, C&G was the most reasonable and did such quality work. We would highly recommend C&G Paving, Inc.

Very professional job

C and G finished up my driveway replacing today. I am a repeat customer as I had them do my initial driveway about 12 years ago. They did a great job back then and I got a repeat of their fine workmanship again today. They show up on time and do what they say they will do. Hard to find folks who are as good as their word but these guys are the real deal. Sealcoated one section and replaced another which is exactly what Jeff recommend and I agreed to. Excellent job Jeff thanks for the great job done.

So happy with my new driveway! It's thick, smooth, and a joy to drive on. The price was very reasonable, and I'll be happy to have C&G back to seal the asphalt on the recommended maintenance schedule. You can't go wrong if you hire these folks. :)

Jeff and his crew were awesome! Our driveway looks like a work of art! Not only did they do a great job, the crew went above and beyond. One man moved excess dirt and spread it around our yard where it needed it. Another asked if he could help carry in groceries since we had to keep our car by the street while the asphalt dried. Jeff and his team did a great job on our asphalt driveway near Barboursville. On time, under budget and had to tie into our cul-de-sac, a retaining wall, an existing walkway and a concrete pad. The driveway was also properly angled to manage drainage. I have and will continue to recommend C&G for driveway paving.

Had C&G install a 100yd driveway last year, and seal the job this week. They did a thorough and professional job on both parts. Most recently, they did an excellent job sealing our driveway . They were efficient, and careful, ensuring the sealant went where it’s supposed to, and not on the sidewalk or garage. Good coverage, and the end result looks great!

It's hard to find someone to do a small job patching driveway potholes. C and G Paving responded quickly and did a great job for a fair price, $600.
