Farm Bureau of Abingdon

To echo the complaint of the other person who posted, this agency sold us a plan for an old truck and a van we had (secondary vehicles). The agent, Darrell, Knew at the time that we were trying to split our vehicle insurance. There were no other policies on the truck and van but our more-driven cars were insured by a regular automobile insurer. Darrell left to take another job. My daughter wrecked the van and they acted surprised when we presented a claim. They cancelled all our policies with them over this single claim. You wouldn't think that a large, nationally known insurance chain would act like a small time mom and pop, but they darn sure do! Fortunately there were other insurers who were glad to receive good customers who pay on time. Go ahead and get Farm Bureau (or at least the local one). Just don't ever file a claim. These local guys can receive, but they can't dish it out!

Canceled our insurance becuase they said we did not have an auto policy with them as well. We did... took them both out at same time. They cancelled our insurance and only way we knew was becuase of our mortgage company. no notifications and then when called wanted to up the price two hunderd dollars. would never use this company again,. new agent said has wrote a lot of polcies from people that use to have this insurance.
