I agree with the previous reviewer. Do not enroll your child at this school! My husband and I are both working professionals who travel quite a bit and really were sold on the idea of the curriculim the Goddard School provided. Within a one month period, our childs teacher changed twice. The teacher turnover ratio is unnerving! The owner will tell you anything to get you in the door but will not follow through on any of your concerns or issues. Several physical incidents happened without ANY notification from the teacher or staff. Unless your child is old enough to communicate the happenings of day to day, I would not trust this school with your most precious gift. They are selling you on the "Goddard Name" but not the "Goddard Servie".They seem to be more concerned about our money than they were our child's safety. "Very displeased over what my family has experienced with this school".

Id give 0 stars if possible. I have a special needs child that they kicked out after his first day. I was told everything was fine when I spoke with the teacher in the afternoon and when I picked him up. The next morning they told me that after speaking with the owner he could not come back! When asked why I was first told because he had an accident, was "touching stuff and walking around" and putting things in his mouth (hes 5). Then after my pushback and requests to reconsider and speak with the other director or owner I was told that he was a liability to them because he put items in his mouth! Now if im correct, this IS a child care center with adult supervision! Im sure its not standard procedure to dismiss a non-disabled child on their first day. The director (Kathleen I believe) refused to acknowledge that his autism is a disability. Then Niki who was very condescending and nasty told me that they didn't care about my input or were not interested in suggestions to keep him in school. She also said she spoke with the owner and they were not going to comply with federal ADA laws that REQUIRE them to make reasonable accommodations for my child even if I paid for them. Ive heard horror stories of parents saying their children were discriminated against but this was the first time ive dealt with it and I must say its a really bad feeling. I will make a point of publicizing the treatment we received here. Do not trust this business they are not in this for the children.
I've had nothing but a great experience at Goddard. My son started at 3.5 months old and I was so afraid. They put my fears to bed with their warm caring manner. Ms. Kim and Ms. Rene really care about the kids. Ms. Kim is so sweet and really goes above and beyond. As a new mom, you have so many questions. Ms. Kim always has time to answer my questions (and trust me I have plenty). I wouldn't send my son anywhere else!
My child went to this school nearly 8 years ago. It started out being a great environment but slowly turned sour. One thing that stood out the most was my child would come home ravishingly hungry nearly every day! I was told by one of the food service members that the children do not eat enough and they are not allowed to give the kids seconds, even if they ask for more food. There was one teacher there who was very good and every time I came to pick my child up she was fully engaged with the children. Sadly that teacher was replaced about 4 months after she got there. My daughter's new teacher wasn't as nice. My daughter would cry and tell me that she would scream at them if they did not color within the lines. She wasn't friendly and she put fear into the kids. I agree the owner is all about money and not quality. And it's true, her background is not in education. I wouldn't patronize this school if I had to do it all over again. It's not worth the headache!
If you are looking for an HONEST TRUSTWORTHY childcare, then you SHOULD NOT enroll your child at The Goddard School in Snellville, GA. My 3 year old was enrolled in this school for 11 months.....during this time there were 3 physical incidents in which the school could not tell me what happened. The Owner and Director looked me in my face and lied to me about each incident. The Primary Teacher in the 3 year old classroom has very poor people skills when it comes to communicating with parents! Teacher is unable to documents incidents properly after being in the childcare field for almost 20 years! Owner's background has nothing to do with education and Director has very poor management skills!!! Owners is more concerned about "some" members of the staff than your child's well being!!!! If you are also looking for a clickish school that will make you feel like you are in high school all over again, then this is the one for you!!! If you looking for an HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY SCHOOL for your most precious gift, this is not your school!!!!!
