Against my wife's wishes, I inherited a 21 year old pontoon boat with the idea of bringing it back to life. I was fortunate to find Phillip and after reading past customer comments (on several sites), decided to get his assessment of the engine's condition. He assessed and shared that he could bring the old Yamaha 50 back to life. Five days later he called and said he wanted to meet at the lake and, in his words, said "lets take her for a swim". Phillip met me on a 35 degree morning the day after a light ice weather event here in Raleigh/Cary. We found a sun dried boat ramp off hwy 64/Jordan lake. We then took the boat for a swim and she ran like a top. I WAS STUNNED. After wrapping-up, I paid Phillip what I thought was extremely reasonable fee for his service. I then tried to pay him extra for tolls (the new southern extension of 540) and gas for driving to meet me. I had cash in my hand and tried to hand him the extra and he adamantly declined. I was once again STUNNED in a good way. What great customer service, honesty, and outboard motor expertise. I've since taken the old pontoon on 3 outings to test Phillip's repair. It's run perfectly every time. I'll use no other boat repair service for as long as I own this and future boats.

I started using this company last year for my winterization due to the fact I was so tired paying outrageous prices with other shops and or the waiting . The price was right on par with what a winterize should be . They did the same thing and the same chemicals , well they even used additional chemicals that the others charge for but are included with these guys at no extra charge .

I blew a outboard on my other boat and Phil had it fully rebuilt in 2 weeks and Thousands less , literally thousands less than anybody or any where else , The owner is extremely knowledgeable and from what all i have seen and experienced Im not the only one who loves this company . Just dont expect a nice show room and suit and ties but a shop full of stories and toys .

on july 1 my outboard motor exploded and caught fire , in a panic i starter calling around trying to find a replacment motor before the fourth shin dig . I ran by phils number i said to myself ' like this guy can help me ' ! but i gave him a ring and told him my situation . I had found a few motors for several thousand dollars before i called phil and wanted to know if he had anything or how much to install the new motor . Ha , this guy claims he may be able to fix it soo I gave him a shot . About an hour later this guy shows up and we go down to the boat house , he jumps in the water and goes to town figuring out why it happened and what it needs . in less than five minutes he is explaining to me why it did it and how to fix it , now this motor looked like a burnt hambuger under the hood . So I give him a shot thinking now way it will be done by the fourth . he hauls it out , takes it with him and less than 2 hrs he has a complete estimate for my insurance guy . He had it fixed and running better than before , cleaned it and the boat as to no one could tell any damage was ever done . My insurance agent was very impressed by his report and details with chain of events along with before , during , and after pictures . Even though my insurance company was paying for it he kept the bill under 1k and thats tuneing the motor - replacing all the electrical - cleaning the soot out of my carbs and much more but he did not have back for the fourth he had it back on the third . He really saved my weekend and family party
