Animal Medical Care Center

We normally use another vet in town but we needed boarding services and our vet was full. We contacted Animal Medical Care Center and found that they had space available. They were were very nice on my initial call and even contacted our vet to verify that the shots were up to date. Both of our dogs were due for their rabies and distemper vacs.

I asked them if I needed to get those done before we brought them in and they assured me they would be glad to take care of it to save us a trip. Everything went fine until we picked the dogs up 3 days later. To make a long story short it cost us nearly $300. for the boarding and 2 shots each. This was unbelievable! They charged us $119. for the dogs to have and office exams and $55. each dog for the 2 shots. They failed to tell us there would be an exam charge. If they had told me this I could have taken them to our vet for the shots and saved over $100. I would not recommend this vet to anyone unless you want to have a very painful and expensive experience. The also told me they give written estimates if you ask for them. If you use them PLEASE ask for an estimate.
