Kent County, Maryland Parks and Recreation maintains more than 10 parks. Its parks offer a range of recreational opportunities that includes picnicking, bird watching, hiking, swimming and fishing. The department also provides an elementary after-school program that offers activities on arts and crafts, educational themes and sports. It also offers fitness and aerobics classes in various areas that include cardiovascular conditioning, light weight training, toning, stretching, strength conditioning, stretching and resistance training. Additionally, it provides coaching sessions on jazz, ballet, tumbling and gymnastics. The department also organizes various festivals that include activities, such as Easter egg hunts, egg decoration, pony rides and crafts.
