Edgewood Elementary is a learning center that is governed by Woodridge School District 68. The school serves more than 460 students in prekindergarten through grade six. Its staff includes psychologists, social workers, literacy enrichment specialists, speech therapists and resource aides. The school offers general academic programs and conducts English as a Second Language classes. It also provides Title 1 and special education programs. Edgewood Elementary supports classes in art, music and physical education. The school also operates a student council and offers extracurricular activities that include band. It has a parent-teacher organization that conducts fundraising activities and sponsors events, such as book fairs, ice cream socials and family fun nights.
