Woodbury Ski Area

If there were a grade lower than a "F" that's what I'd rate Woodbury. Checking out their website and claim of over 15 tubing runs and 4 lifts, I figured that if they're asking $32 for 1 1/2 hours you must get your money's worth. I was WRONG. There was 9 runs, not "over 15". I probably spent 1 hour of my 1 1/2 hours standing in line to go up the lift/pull to the top of the tubing hill(s). One lift kept breaking, kicking people off half way up the hill and forcing them to walk the rest of the way. There was no skilled staff member there to fix the problem, just teenagers with shovels who had no idea what the problem was. They have foreign help all over who didn't know what way was up and what way was down. It was taking them 2-6 tries to load each person onto the tube pull/lift and the lines just kept growing and growing and growing. Some corners of the tube runs were icy/ice chunks, not smooth and well prepared like you'd expect for paying that much money to tube. Absolutely without a doubt the biggest waste of $32 I could ever imagine. It made me sick to think I spent $64 (my girlfriend and I) for essentially less than 1/2 hour of enjoyment/entertainment.

Anyone would be better off buying a tube at walmart and finding a local hill

We went during a vacation week and it was too busy...they were unable to accomodate the crowd! Not enough staff or tubes. 9 of us went and cost $360 for 3 hours. We left after 2 hours because we only did 3 runs. Asked the owner if we could come another day when it wasn't so crowded he refused. The conditions were not acceptable, many injuries in our party because the runs were not groomed. Staff didn't speak well English so they were unable to answer our questions. Way too expensive for the service they were able to provide today!

Woodbury Ski & Raquet Club is the best place in Ct to take your Family..I took My Family there to go tubing & sleding...My Kids won't go sledding anywhere but there..The best part is You DON"T have to walk UP ANY HILLS....

When I got tired of tubing I took the Family to the lodge and We had some warm bevrages, Enjoyed the fire place & had a great afternoon watching all the people having such a great time..So get off the couch and away from the snacks and TV set...Go to Woodbury Ski Club Your Family will Think You are the greatest Dad ever My Kids praze Me now I'm there Hero.....
