I have had a home warranty service for about 9 years. Sears has refused to fix this air conditioner, since they can't find a serial number on it. After taking it apart ourselves there is NO serial number on the AC Case. So they say they can't validate that this is the unit we have been paying for for 9 years. I feel that the units serial number must be in their system otherwise how could they verify it. So the AC is still not fixed and it's been 2 months.
So respectful the associate that came to give the maintenance, explain how to clean and keep the whole unit safe.
The service was excellent. Person came on time. However I was charged three times the cost of the parts. The parts that I could have bought for $90 was $309 charged by Sears. It only took 20 minutes to fix the problem and I was charged $277 (included diagnostic charge and labor). I will not be using Sears again for any repairs.
