Service

Horrible customer service! Rude and condescending. Nickel and dime their customers and most importantly, do not put patient care above "office policy." DO NOT GO HERE!!

My husband said he had a great experience with the owner, but I'd beg to differ. The nurse examiner was super-sweet and patient with my child, but the asian Dr. was in some type of rush. You would think there would be more room for pleasantry with an empty waiting room. (I see why.) Meanwhile, I found glasses online and it asked for the PD. When we called about that, they said they didn't do it, but we can come back and get it done. Really? So you didn't do the whole job you got paid for? Bottom line, just go to lens's crafters or somebody.

VERY VERY BAD PLACE, I call to make an apoinnment and they give me one, but when I got there they just said we have your information but we do not have you'r apoinnment and when I ask for somebody to fix the problem the manager, just said if you do not want another day just go, she was very disrespectful she do not even say. offer an excuse.

I have been going to Davis eye Associates in Winston Salem for many many years, and I love Dr. Kelly Reid because she has always made my experience very comfortable. Even when I was diagnosed with my retina tearing she always made sure that I got what ever treatment was needed. So the last time I went back for a check up I thought I would be comfortable with another physician looking at my eyes, because Dr. Kelly Reid was booked. Boy was I ever wrong. First off I spent almost 3 hours in the doctors chair while they looked at my eyes. My God I understand students coming in looking at my eye but to have an actual physician take so long examining me is crazy. But the thing that took the cake was instead of the doctor looking back at dr Reid notes and seeing that certain test were done. I get told that I have to get special pictures taken of my eye. I even told the dr that I had a certain kind of insurance and did not want to do the test because I did not want to be charged for it. The doctor went back looked at my insurance and said since there was a medical need that my insurance would cover it. Well that was further from the truth because 6 months after the service I get a bill in the mail saying insurance did not cover it and I would have to pay. When I called to dispute the charges I was told that I was SOL and had to pay the bill. Well I will pay this bill but you will never see me walk back into your facility again unless it is to pick up my medical records

@baduizm2011. I agree about the ridiculous wait. Not only was the wait long, I got a bad vibe from the girls up front. I have been going to Davis Eye Assoc for a few years and the people that used to work there were friendlier. The bunch now act overworked and like they don't want to be there or want the customers to be there. For the past couple of years, I noticed the change, but I gave the girls the benefit of the doubt. I tried to tell myself that maybe I walked in when everyone was having a rough day. With the wait and the attitude of the front desk staff, I felt like I was at the free clinic. I came in with my daughter and stood at an area where they used to check in patients. I didn't know they had changed it. I stood there waiting and waiting. The girls that worked there walked past me, did not greet me or acknowledge my presence. I know they saw me standing there. Finally, after they looked at me standing there for ten minutes, one of the girls finally called me over to the other desk. No one greeted me acknowledged my presence or apologized. When I was standing in line to check out, I was the next person. The front desk girl didn't even say hello, she just gestured her finger at me to come up to the desk and didn't even look at me once or say anything and didn't even say have a nice day or goodbye. The only thing positive I have to say is about the doctors. They are nice and helpful. If the front desk staff was friendly like they used to be, I would put up with the wait. But I don't want to go into a place where front desk people try to treat you like you are beneath them. Time for me to look for another optometrist.

Dr. and staff are nice, but the last few times I’ve been here the wait was absolutely ridiculous.

Be prepared for a 2+ hour visit if you go here, most of the time it’s spent waiting to either get in the room, or once in the room waiting for someone to come in

Sadly, it’s happened to me every time I go in, this past visit was enough to make me go elsewhere.
