Glenn County Emergency Services, located in Willows, Calif., is a division of the Glenn County Human Resource Agency. The emergency services include homeless and motel voucher assistance, food bank, special needs assistance and rent assistance. It operates two food banks in Glenn County that provide food to low-income residents of the county. The food is distributed thrice a year to each family and is based on the family size. The motel voucher assistance program is available from several grant sources and offers assistance to clients under this program for up to 30 days. This service is offered to individuals who meet income guidelines, have an eviction notice and have photo identification. Its special needs assistance program provides a variety of assistance, including gasoline vouchers, clothing vouchers, prescriptions, blankets, hygiene products and baby items.
