Prairie Homestead Assisted Living

This is not a good place to work or live. They nickel and dime their residents for "contributions" to pay for everything from nurses bonuses to dining room chairs. It is creepy to work there because they sit at monitors and watch the employees for several hours a day.

Do not apply for a job here unless you are related. They treat their employees like "hired help" which is to say, they thrive on jumping on any little mistake. They will show up and just watch for anything to correct someone over, preferably in the dining room in front of everyone for the maximum humiliation. The LPN manager and the administrator do not want anyone to outshine them and so their main job is keeping everyone in their place and making it clear to all who live there or visit that they are in complete control of EVERY little thing because no one else is competent enough to handle a simple med pass or even delivery of meals. One thing they do is hire for the holidays and then once they get to enjoy their extra time off they start looking for any reason to let people go. SO CHRISTIAN!! They complain incessantly about all the hours they have to work but this is their own doing because they do not make anyone feel valued or welcomed, just hired. That's about all I have to say about them.
