Metal Finishing Company began commercial operation in 1940. The company has been a stable source for aerospace finishing and inspection for nearly seven decades. The company consists of five main divisions, including metal finishing division, which provides full-service chemical processing; QEST division, which provides full-service nondestructive testing; Diversified Services company, which provides chemical processing, nondestructive testing and shotpeening of large aluminum parts up to 80 feet long; cryogenics division, which provides cryogenic treatment of customer tooling and materials; and a flame spray division, which provides plasma, high velocity oxygen fuel, wire arc and combustion arc methods, as well as a full-service coatings test lab. Metal Finishing Company is headquartered in Wichita, Kan.
