Avita Health & Rehab At Reeds Cove

This place SUCKS!!! Do not take your family members there unless you want them to starve to death.. the staff there are rude and think they are above you. Wow what a joke. My dad can't feed himself and they hadn't even fed him breakfast by 9:30. We immediately removed him from this facility. I had to post a star here but I honestly give this place a minus 5

Our family was very nervous when we were told my dad needed to go to a skilled rehab facility. We were expecting a typical nursing home that smelled and was dark halls. This place was absolutely the opposite! From the second we walked in until the day he went home, we were in awe of how impressive it was. From the beautiful building to the caring staff - it was great. Could not be more impressed. This experience has completely changed how I see nursing homes. GREAT job Reeds Cove! Dad loved the therapy, the food, the employees, his room - everything! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

Reeds Cove has many staff members who are kind and caring to residents and their families. Care plan conferences are held to ensure everyone has an opportunity to provide input regarding their care and/or concerns. Also the DON encourages staff, residents and families to openly voice concerns.

The comments are true. We were very frustrated with this facility. The office manager, Crystal, was very rude, not only to us, but facility staff. Not only on ONE occasion, but SEVERAL. She made us feel like we could not openly voice any concerns. Secondly, staff was always short-handed. There was never enough assistance, even for minor things. Honestly, I do not blame the nursing staff. They are overworked and scared to say anything for fear of losing their jobs. I do not recommend this facility to anyone and WILL NOT bring my father back.

Rhis place was okay to work at until the residents get tired of you, and they will do and say anything to get you fired. It's supposed to be 2 aides a nurse, and a Med aide. Usually they run short staff and are forced to do dangerous things like using a Hoyer lift all by ourselves and transferring residents with faulty equipment. The pay is okay..until you see and experience all that is required of you. I would not recommend this facility to a friend as a place to work and would not recommend as a facility to send your family to. There usually is not enough staff to ensure each resident gets the care they deserve and pay for. They have no working pagers either. No way to efficiently pass ice water, ect..the list goes on and on of problems with this facility. Steer clear!
