Barry Price Center, founded in 1977, is a private, nonprofit organization located in Newton, Mass. The center supports people with developmental disabilities by assisting personal growth and participation in the community through social, living and work experiences. It provides services in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation, the Division of Medical Assistance, Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, Newton Community Block Development Grant and Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. The Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation and the National Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities sanction the programs run by the center. The center provides a range of services in Massachusetts such as community living in Brookline and Newton, career and employment supports and alternative day services in Newton. In Dedham it provides nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapies and psychology services.
