Amore Carpet & Floor Covering

Writing this as a courtesy posting for my mother, who had the absolute worst experience here and would not recommend it to anyone.



She first walked in to Amore Carpet and Flooring on Thursday, October 22nd to request a flooring consultation. When my mother walked in (she is deaf by the way), the salespeople approached her, but continuously ignored her for other patrons. My mother ended up waiting for 45 minutes to be ignored by the salespeople who thought that other hearing clients were more important than her, as she was there well before any of the other patrons (I am appalled by this).



She thought it was a fluke (maybe the other patrons had appointments), and made an appointment for Tuesday, October 27th at 11AM. She confirmed with the salespeople that she had the 11AM slot, and was assured that she would be well taken care of. An Amore representative met her at the location she needed flooring to collect measurements. Afterwards, he took her back to the main office (which was very close) to talk about pricing. When they entered the store, the representative left my mother on the side yet again for another client that just walked into the store. May I remind you that my mother had an appointment, and she was being ignored again.



The representative continuously got up and attended to other clients, telling my mother 'one second'. My mother got very upset, and mentioned to the representative that this was the second time this was happening, and she had an appointment and should have been the priority of the meeting. To her dismay, the representative got up yet again to attend to another client five minutes later. My mother waited for another 45 minutes, and was never attended to. This shows an absolute disrespect for any clients, especially my mother who is deaf and is a customer that deserves the same amount of attention as any other client.



If you are looking for a flooring and carpet company that has any respect for customers with any sort of disability, this is NOT your place. My mother ended up walking out after being ignored on TWO different occasions. DO NOT COME HERE.

I just want to take a moment to compliment Jill at Amore Carpet. When I walked in the showroom was packed and the staff was clearly "jammed". I had just come in and was standing there wondering if I should stay or come back because it was so busy. Jill noticed me right away and took the time to greet me and said that if I could please wait 5 minutes and promised to come assist me then. SHE KEPT HER PROMISE. Unheard of, and Jill helped me research just the right carpet for our new addition. GREAT SERVICE!

I went to Amore Carpet simply to get an expert opinion on how to deal with floors in an entire home we are remodeling. Darrin spent Two Hours with me at no charge. He asked me great questions about things I would have never thought of on my own. It's nice to work with someone who actually loves what they do, and willing to share that knowledge without EXPECTING something in return. Whatever work I can afford to have done professionally goes to Darrin. His entire staff has the same philosophy.

I bought a remnant carpet at a discounted price I was happy with that. Put the order in to have the edges bound and a no slip back attached. Was told it would be ready that week. Called the next weekend it was not ready. When I went to pick it up finally i got it without the non slip back. I asked about it told them I had paid for it. They looked it up then went and got me the backing. I had to ask them to attach it. A man there was nice enough to attach it but manager again looked up the receipt which I found a little rude. So I stated that they were late getting it and did not have the backing like I ordered. His response was a got a discounted price on a great rug. If I had known discounted price meant discounted service I wouldn't have bought it. Now I get the rug home and the non slip back is falling off. Honestly I don't believe I got my money or times worth out of the deal. But it is a beautiful carpet none the less.
