Why would anyone start a church when there are already 86 churches in town? We were wondering that ourselves, but we knew God was leading us in that direction. And - since God isn't someone to argue with - Cornerstone Fellowship officially began in the home of Allen and Lisa Nolan with approximately 12 people in 1987. Pioneering a church isn't exactly an easy task. We had no chairs, no sound system, no building, no, well, anything - except a vision to make a difference in people's lives by teaching God's word. We've had church in a fitness center, storefronts, and some unusual buildings (i.e. a former National Guard armory). Through the years many people have partnered with us and the journey has been incredible. We've seen God do some awesome things and He continues to amaze us with the relevancy of His word, His unconditional love, and the wonderful people we get to share our lives with. We expect our future to be no less amazing.
