Teeth Cleaning
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are designed to cover the deep chewing grooves of back teeth, effectively “sealing” them shut so food particles and harmful bacteria can’t accumulate as easily. This application process is quick and painless, and patients enjoy this valuable added protection against cavities for up to 10 years with proper maintenance and care.
Space Maintainers
Fixed space maintainers — if a baby tooth is lost prematurely, a space maintainer is used to keep the space open until the permanent tooth erupts. A band is attached to the tooth next to the empty space, and a wire is extended to the tooth on the other side of the space.

Fillings
A common problem with amalgam fillings is that they change shape when exposed to changes in temperature, which weakens the tooth and causes discomfort for the patient. Tooth-colored fillings won’t suffer from this problem.

Upon completion of his residency he returned to Boise, Idaho and established a busy private practice as an Orthodontist. Originally from North Adams, MA, Dr. Girardi received his bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University before studying dentistry at SUNY, Buffalo and earning his doctorate of dental science in 1996. Prior to graduation, Dr. Girardi served in the US Army, completing his general dentistry residency in 1997. He’s been practicing dentistry at Watertown Dental Health since 1998, providing comprehensive general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry to patients with far-reaching needs.
