Care-O-World is a child care center offering various learning programs for children and families in Washington, N.C. The center provides weekly care program meant for the supervision and nurturing of children up to 10 years. Its infant program is designed to promote maximum development of each child, and includes assessment of skills, parent-teacher interaction, and lesson plans designed according to the needs of each individual child. The center offers preschool from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. as part of the full-time weekly care program. The preschool provides lessons in language development, gross motor skills, drama, social and discovery skills, music, reading and writing readiness, art, and mathematics readiness. A graduation service for children entering kindergarten in the fall is held each May. The center s school age program provides nutritious meals and a planned program of activities that include recreational activities, games, arts and crafts, sports, cooking, and field trips. Care-O-World is open Monday through Friday.
