Harrington Hotel

Many will complain about the outdated rooms but personally I love that the hotel has kept that 1950s look. The staff seem to have a family bond and they are very warm and welcoming. The hotel has two restaurants. One that serves breakfast and the other serves dinner. Only visit this hotel if you want to experience a bit of history. You'll appreciate it.

This is a wonderful historic hotel! Super great location. Our family of five had ease navigating the DC mall and all sites that were on our list! We had two queen beds and a single in the same room so our family of five enjoyed the spacious room. There are some trade-offs when you sign into an historic hotel, but it was very worth the value and the proximity to everything in DC we wanted! Everything in the room worked and we were very comfortable. It was nice having Windows to open and watch the snow!

I loved this place good prices and great location for vacationing. The best part of my experience is that they graciously let me check in early it was perfect 2 blocks from the national mall. I'll definitely be back

We were in D.C. for Awaken The Dawn and needed a big room that could fit my husband, myself and our 3 boys. The room size was perfect and the price was better than any other hotel in the city. We had 5 beds all in one room.

Nice, clean and simple hotel in a great location in Washington DC. You are just around the corner from the White House and all the other must-see's. The hotel is very simple but stuff is very helpful and flexible. We have arrived 4h before check-in but our room was already waiting for us. They arranged a taxi for 4 of us with huge bags to take us to the airport. Very easy stay.

I stayed here for one night to attend a concert at the Verizon Center which is within walking distance. There were also lots of restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I would definitely recommend this hotel. One thing I would like to add-they don't provide shampoo, conditioner or body wash.

I love the Hotel Harrington! While I did not stay overnight there, I DID have the pleasure to eat a wonderful dinner in their restaurant, when the #WalkAway march was in town.The food was tasty traditional American fare..I want their fish recipe!They had baked chicken with Italian herbs.The salad had great nutritious mesclun and mixed exotic lettuces and really really good Italian dressing aas well as a choice of several other dressings.

The hotel is old and the rooms are small but being located in the very centre of Washington DC you are not likely to be spending too much time in your room. The staff were friendly and most helpful and is the best value hotel in the best location. Food is fine for breakfast and if you do not want to eat dinner here then there are many local places a short walk away.

It was clean, nice and a great location. If you just want a place to sleep this is a great buy, also the Bar downstairs at Harry’s had a great staff too.

Completely enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Walkable to everything. Check-in was simple, warm, and friendly. The hotel is older, but the people who run this hotel know how to treat a customer -- there is a real sense that you are staying at a family-run hotel, and not a monolithic franchise. The hotel maintains all of its 1950's charm, with the addition of wicked fast and free internet. Rooms and bath are small -- but who cares. Price, Location, and Customer Service are superb.

Location was great. Hotel staff was friendly. Rate was good. Two separate rooms made it great with children. Easy walking distances to most museums and monuments and close to metro station.

We booked a room with two beds and were pleasantly surprised to find our room had a double bed an adjoining room with two single beds for the kids.

The staff is wonderful, hotel is clean (yes it's old, but worn doesn't equate to dirty) and parking was a breeze. If you are an average American family traveling on a budget you might want to consider this hotel for your DC visit. Short walk to the National Mall and all monuments. One block from Ford's Theater. Don't let the age and wear fool you.

On a budget?, business trip, need quick access to all your events and destinations in Washington D.C. then the Harrington offers everything you need. As a travel photographer I need to get in and out to my assignments with no hassles and wasted time. Staff is very helpful and know how to get me where I need to be. Basic ,clean rooms at reasonable rates .This last stay at the Harrington was my fourth and will stay again. Nothing fancy, leave the sterile cookie-cutter hotels to the international chain hotels. The Harrington is real and ready to serve your needs while in D.C. Convenient parking close by.

Harrington is located in the heart of Washington, D.C.'s world famous tourist district. Guests can easily walk to all the sights and museums making Hotel Harrington the perfect home base for exploring everything D.C. has to offer. To expand your range, the Metro, is located just two blocks away.

If my daughter hadn't already been here on a school trip I wouldn't have booked it, but she said it was comfortable. The service was great, and value for money re location was fantastic. The rooms are very old, but the beds very comfortable. We had all we needed, and slept well. Couldn't really ask for more, from such an old hotel.

This is the only place to stay when in town. You are in the center of everything and can walk wherever. Employees are great, local restraunts are great too. Will definitely be coming here when back in town and reccommending to others.

We stayed at the Hotel Harrington on our stay in DC. It is centrally located to everything. Although it is the oldest hotel in DC, it was very clean. We could walk to a lot of things. It was just across the street from the Old Time Trolley. I wouldn't wanted to stay anywhere else.

This hotel has the best location. One block from Trump Hotel. We are seniors who appreciated the historic atmosphere. Stayed in Room 648. Comfy bed, good air conditioning, great water pressure, small fridge and a window that could be opened for some fresh air. We would definitely stay here again.
