First crew arrived at stated time of 0700 with owner and lead arriving later. Front and backyardÂ landscaping had tarp protection. Tear off was quick, John (foreman) explained damage found. Dumpster,Â new asphalt shingles/supplies arrived few hours later and shingles installed promptly. Shingled roof was installed in 1 day with crew doing a good cleanup job. Completion of soffit job occurred the following day, as previously discussed. By early afternoon of the 2nd day, the entire job was completed and the dumpster was removed. John answered all my questions, was courteous and readjusted my front door light so that it would hang to my liking. Eileen and Marty (owners) professionally discussed concerns I had and worked within my time frame and work schedule. My final bill was clear without any surprises and was mailed soon after completion of the job.

Commercial Roof Repair
One of the older, but still commonly used, forms of commercial roofing is commonly called built-up roofing. This system is commonly used in flat or low-slope roofing situations. With this system, felt roofing material is layered with asphalt to provide a waterproof barrier. The layers of felt and asphalt are then coated with aggregate, which serves to protect the underlying materials from sun and weather damage. Typically, this type of roofing lasts for several years, but maintenance is required to keep the aggregate coating serviceable. Seals around openings for vents, chimneys and skylights also need to be inspected and resealed as needed on a regular basis. Scheduling regular inspections and maintenance should be planned to keep the roof weather-tight.

Take a broom, and go up on the roof. Sweep away the leaf debris and pine straw that may hide damaged roof areas. Look for branches sticking up from a hole in the roof and missing, loose, dented, curling or broken shingles. If you have asphalt shingles, look for dark spots where the tar coated granules have been knocked off by hail; they will look like bruises or dents. Look, too, for insecure fixtures that might have been loosened by the wind such as vents or chimneys. Another way to check for damage is to go into your attic during the daytime and look for places where the daylight shows through small cracks or holes. Notice if your insulation is wet, or if there is water on the floor.
Caulking
Great job. This is the third time I have used M and S. They put my roof on, put gutter extensions on myÂ house, and this time checked and fixed a leak. They have always been very responsive towards my needs. When I needed the leak fixed, the worker spent about 2hrs caulking and going over everything to make sure it was fixed and that I was happy.
