Voegtle's Auto Service

While my 2009 toyota van was in the local dealer for an oil change, I was told that I had a power steering rack leak and needed a repair together with an alignment for a total of $800, which was on top of a brake job and a PCV replacement. Luckily I didn't buckle and the next day brought the van to Vogetle and showed Joe the service list from the dealer. He said he had to take a look at the vehicle in order to tell about the steering oil leak. So I left the van there. In the afternoon when I stopped by to pick it up, Joe told me he could not find any leak no matter what he did. As a result, he saved me $800!!!



I've been going to Vogetle for over 20 years. It's funny to see how Joe and his brother Charles also grow older with me but the trust I have in them in getting my vehicles fixed with honest and reasonable costs remains the same.

I have been having my cars serviced by Voegtles for close to 20 years. I would never go anywhere else.

Take your car there and trust them completely. They take great care of my 12 year old honda. They explain why they will do what they're going to do -- and why they don't need to do something -- and they are fair. They recommended a timing chain replace about a year ago -- and charged me about 2/3 of what I was told it would cost at other local places!

With all the cars I've owned, and all the mechanics I've dealt with over the years, this is one place that I would not hesitate to work with again. They really stand behind their work!



My alternator failed on the way to work one day. A couple of my co-workers highly recommended Voegtle's in Warrenville so I dropped it off there. They were busy that day, but they did get it fixed by the end of the next day. Several weeks later I found a crack in that new part. Joe Jr. quickly swapped it out with a new alternator at no charge (the part was replaced under warranty). Unfortunately, a few days after that, the new serpentine belt was thrown (likely due to a bad tensioner bearing) so I immediately brought it back to the shop - right at closing time. Joe stayed late and had the new parts (belt and tensioner) installed in under 30 minutes at no charge (didn't even charge me for for the parts). I'm not so sure it was his fault that belt was thrown, but I appreciate that he stood by his work and got me back on the road in a hurry too.



Honest people, quality service, decent prices and, most importantly, they stand behind their work. Voegtle's will be my first choice the next time I need auto service.
