Michael Gray has over 30 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry. From 1996 to 2022, he served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of The Gray Insurance Company, also known as “The Gray.” He now holds Chairman of the Board and Vice President positions of The Gray Insurance Company and Gray Surplus Lines Insurance Company. He led The Gray through the collapse of the oil industry in south Louisiana (1986) to its present position as a successful mid-size insurance company with an A.M. Best rating of A-, Excellent. The Gray has acquired or developed businesses under his guidance in the Title Insurance, Oil Production and Exploration, Technology Development, Real Estate Development, and Property Management Industries.
