Kwik Kar Lube & Tune

I went in to get what I thought was a new belt. I was told that my Tensioner was loose and that their mechanic wasn't there. I leave my car overnight and around 8:10 I get a call that the repair will be 100 dollars to fix. Sometime later I get a call that supposedly my Tensioner fell off and that the bolt is broken off in my engine. This is a 1100 dollar plus repair that they can't even do. My car was towed to a shop that specializes this kind of work. I was told the bolt appeared to have been turned to wrong way and that is why it broke off. You can determine that by how the break looks. I confronted the owner/manager about this and he keeps sticking to his story that the Tensioner fell off. He will not admit his shop made a mistake and will not turn it into his insurance, which he could easily do.

I tried to go through their so called corporate site. I finally called another Kwik Kar and this is what I was told. Their corporate office will not do anything. If you file a complaint, they won't even look at it nor will they even contact the owner. I have since found out that a friend of mine went in to get some work done to his car. They drained the oil out and didn't put any back in. The almost caused his engine to burn up. Oh, I've been going to them for over 5 years for oil changes. Just know this, if they screw up your car, you are out of luck. Avoid this place at all cost. I wish I had. Not even 1 star, YP won't let you post Zero.
