Virginia Weddings by Primo Events

My family and I attended a wedding this past Saturday in Virginia Beach (4.18.15). Primo Events and their staff did an amazing job with absolutely EVERYTHING, the reception decor and food were over the top, the beach ceremony was the most beautiful I've ever seen! Congrats Amanda and Richard, and many thanks for making us all feel so welcome and comfortable. You all did a great job and we can't wait to see the pictures!

Getting married I've been told can be a very stressful time, finding venues and vendors. Choosing the perfect colors, finding the dress/tux, really is can be quite daunting.



Primo Events from beginning to end did a great job making us feel welcomed and comfortable. They truly have it together. We got to look at four different venues and chose our ideal location.

When we first arrived here in Virginia beach, we were greeted by Ron Form. We bonded quickly partly because he was very personable as am I and originaly from the garden state. It was comforting knowing that someone understood our needs, even though we were not planning to have a traditional wedding and wanted something just a little over the top so to speak..lol. When my mom and I went to our first vendor meeting we met with Chef Elsaa and she was a doll. This woman is a culinary genius when it comes to choosing a wedding menu. She knew exactly which food to pair together and read our minds. She took the time to read through all of our ideas and asked us some great follow up questions and really made us feel comfortable about our upcoming big day.

Our next meeting of the day was with Shawn Femia the photographer. This gal is so creative and gave us so many cool photo opps for the wedding day. She was wonderful to work with.



The next meeting were with the Affordable Linen folks. Joann helped us pick the perfect colors. MOM and I both felt confident enough with the professionalism that everyone demonstrated thus far.

The day before our wedding, we had a rehearsal with DJ Chuck and he was great. We told him the ceremony that we were going for, and he was very accommodating.



The day of the went without a hitch. Ron coordinated the entire wedding and The food was amazing (Avocado Corn Bruschetta and Bacon Wrapped Scallops) and were passed around during our cocktail hour. Our wedding photos were absolutley stunning and DJ was fantastic. Thank you so much Primo:)

I used this company for my daughter's wedding this past Saturday. We live in Atlanta and my daughter and now son in law are both active duty military & were both deployed when we began the planning process. I found them to be extremely helpful and professional. This is the services the provided for us and my thoughts:

Venue: The Pierside Room ~ We loved this room and the fact that it is attached to a hotel was perfect as we were all from out of town. It's newly renovated & the white granite bar is beautiful. At first I thought the room was a little choppy, but this worked to our benefit as we had a live band that played in front of the bar and dance floor. The benefit to the set up was that if you wanted to have a conversation we could go to our table where it wasn't as loud. The views of the Atlantic from this venue are spectacular! 4 Stars

Catering: Primo Events has in house catering only and the food was perfect! We went with the buffet of beef brisket and Kingsford slow grilled chicken, garlic mashed potatoes & gravy, baby carrots & broccoli, with ceasar salad. For cocktail we had butler passed mini shrimp cocktails & the most amazing asian infused meat balls. 5 stars all the way!

DJ: We had three DJ's to choose from and went with DJ Jose. He was great and really knows how to read a crowd! Only error was mispronouncing the maid of honor's last name. 4 1/2 stars

Coordinator: Ron (the owner) he worked so hard and kept everyone on schedule. Thank God he was there as he kept everyone on schedule. If anything went wrong, none of us noticed! 5 stars

Flowers: Their florist is Wintana and she spent 4 hours onsite making sure everything was perfect! My daughter changed her mind last minute on her boquet from round to teardrop and she made it happen! 5 stars

Cake: we were recommended to Cakes by Mellissa, very pleased with her work. We had a cupcake tower with a traditional cake topper. The cupcakes were assorted with various fillings and very moist. 4 1/2 stars

Ceremony: Beach ceremony with chairs and officiant provided. We weren't so lucky with the weather this past weekend, but the officiant was very good. I learned later that he is the Marriage Commissioner for Virginia beach...

Photographer: Shawn, she did an amazing job and we have already received the highlights of the day this morning!

Tips: I would recommend reserving parking at the lot across the street, it's $7 per car but the owner will give you a discount if you can guarantee 20 cars...

Hope this review is helpful! I will definitely use them again if I have the chance... maybe for our family reunion next year.

I must have made a 100 phone calls trying to organize a small beach ceremony with chairs, flowers, arch, officiant, and photography for 30 guests. Everyone I called either couldn't help me or wanted to charge a ridiculous rate. Wish I would've called this company first, they did everything I wanted and stayed within my budget. Josh and I are very grateful for the wonderful job they did!

Ron Form and Primo Events did a wonderful job for my daughter's wedding. Everyone was wonderful. I had two weeks to plan this wedding and live in New York. I wouldn't change a thing. Everything was beautiful!!!! Thanks again for sharing this special day w Ben and Stephanie

I had my wedding on June 16th in Virginia Beach, VA. I live in New Jersey and have always wanted a beach wedding... just NOT at the Jersey Shore! I had the hardest time trying to plan my wedding from so far away until I found Primo Events. They did EVERYTHING for me... from the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, flowers, cake, DJ, photography, catering, decor, hotel room blocks, they covered it all! It was so nice that I didn't have to worry about anything other than marrying my soulmate. ...

I attended a wedding on May 26th, 2012 & have to say this company did an amazing job! Their caterer served roast beef au juis and mango salsa chicken it was incredible! The DJ was flawless & photographer knew how to be descreet. I usually find weddings boring, and wasn't happy about sacrificing my Memorial day weekend, but am pleased to say I had a very enjoyable experience.

If I told my best friend about this company, I'd say: They were amazing! I had a beach wedding in July and they did everything for me. From the flowers, cake, ceremony, DJ, Photography, venue & food. They even had a hair and make-up artist onsite during photo hour. If anything went wrong neither myself nor my guests noticed. I would definitely recommend them.

I used Primo Events for their all inclusive wedding package and I have to say they are completely responsible for creating the best day of my life! The venue, food, DJ, staffing and photography was all perfect! I would highly recommend using this company... Thank you Primo Events & all your staff!!!
