dr Kushner put a stomach tube in my mother due to throat cancer. He told her that a follow up visit was not necessary. I’m not a doctor, but I would think follow ups after surgery are protocol. For the 2 1/2 months she had it in she was in excruciating pain. She kept telling her other drs that something was wrong.. one time the dr thought it was infected and sent her over to the ER. The ER drs said it was then they were going to take a culture.. then dr Kushners people came and saw it and said no she’s fine. She can go home. Keep in mind my 69 year old mother finished radiation and chemo for her breast cancer then they found a mass in her throat.. so the week after the breast treatment, she started the throat cancer treatment. One of which was this peg tube. Anyway, another dr took it out today and come to find out she has a terrible fungal infection which was causing her the pain. So an infection of this caliber that it is going to take 1-2 months to clear could have killed her with her counts as low as they were. I am appalled and will be seeking legal action.
