This place is terrible. My daughter took classes a few months. I advised the staff that she would no longer be attending. West Georgia Gymnastic continued to deduct the monthly tuition from my bank account for 5 months and refuses to refund me. Owner was very nasty about it and said she felt ok with deducting the money even though my daughter hasn't attended for 5 months. PARENTS BEWARE!

They are GRRREAT!

We have been apart of the WGGC family for a few years now and have been so impressed with the professionalism we have received. My daughter transferred from another local facility offering "gymnastics" classes but my husband and I soon realized what real gymnastics classes looked like after enrolling her with the WGGC. She has enjoyed each teacher and has learned and progressed so much within the last year that we can't stop praising not only her hard work but also the hard work and dedication of each staff member. The staff really wants each child to succeed all the while helping the children build self esteem and confidence. My family loves West GA Gymnastics and the staff! I would highly recommend you try this outstanding facility for your daughter or son- I'm sure just like us you won't regret it!

I have been doing gymnas...

I have been doing gymnastics with the owner of West Georgia Gymnastics Center for almost 9 years now. I love the gym, office staff, owner, and coaches. They are all very nice, loving, and caring. They gym is like a second home to me and i consider everyone there, office staff, owner, coaches, and teammates, family. I have gotten to know all of the coaches, of team and class, very well and the last thing they want is to see anyone get hurt or be unhappy. Never once have the coaches tried to pick a fight with any of the parents. None of the coaches, including the "new hire", which has been a part of the staff for over a year now, have shown any type of anger management issues. I can assure you that the "new hire" does not have any anger issues.

West Georgia Gymnastics Center is a very child safe place that welcomes anyone that wants to join. All staff including, coaches and office manager, try their best to make your child happy. They are always willing to help and answer any questions you have. And they would NEVER lie to you. No child big, small, older than 8, younger than 8, team, or class is treated differently or wrong. I have had practice during all summer camps and they have all been fun, entertaining, and safe. I recommend you sign your son or daughter up!

Team Gymnastics

My daughter transfered to this gym about a year ago. We are so pleased with the professionalism, coaching, and care our daughter receives from the entire staff at WGGC. We have been to other gyms and there always seemed to be something missing when it came to competitive gymnastics. We seemed to have found the perfect fit for us. My daughter loves her coaches, and they love her. We would not dream of going anywhere else. My daughter has also participated in a summer camp there and had a blast. The atmosphere is very child friendly and family oriented. Also, safety is always a top priority.

Summer Camp

Glorified Babysitter. My child attended summer camp here, though, she did not complete the week due to the undesirable enviroment. The office manager lied and told me that the toddlers and younger children would be separated from the older children, which was a total fabrication. There was also a new hire there who told me the same thing even after I saw with my own eyes the classes constantly being combined. This is unacceptable.

My child, age 4, was put into activities with older to too much older children. Therefore, my daughter, who is not shy or a loner, was the target of physical and verbal abuse by some of these older children. She was the victim of name calling, hair pulling, pushing, shoving, and hitting. I am sure my daughter was not the only child who was bullied and picked on, she was simply able to articulate it better. Moreover, after she shared with me her experience I called the office manager who said she would address the situation, which she failed to accomplish any improvement, whatsoever!! The next day when we return my daughter points out one bully in particular (as suggested by the office manager) and I am told that they are never around each other and will definitely not be around each other in the future, only to return to see my daughter being shoved by this child as she takes her place in line.

I also showed concern to her teacher, a new hire, who becomes confrontational, lies to me about the older and younger children being around each other, saying that they are NEVER around each other, as I look over and see them all sitting together at the table. This teacher asks me "if I want to go outside with her", "if I have a problem with her" and says that "I looked mean at her". She acted as if she was looking for a physical confrontation and I feel potentially has an anger management issue. The office manager was unmoved by this event and seemed to believe that this lady was "teacher/babysitter material" and was suitable to be allowed to teach/babysit kids. She did not offer to refund my meager $40, which was about principal rather than money. Its not like I asked her to pay for my wasted time, gas, and pain and suffering to my child. She did not even so much as apoligize for the lies and unprofessional behavior.

I should mention that there are some good teachers at this gym, but the new hires seem to be less that desireabe and lack the ability to behave in a professional manner.

I definitely would not reccommend taking younger children to this gym for summer camp, but if you do make sure to drop in for surprise visits to ensure your child's safety.
