We recently refinanced with Aurora financial and I highly recommend this company. It was pretty painless although you have to send a lot of information to them its required with all companies. Scanning and email make this pretty easy these days.They kept me informed, usually daily of the progress of our loan and closing was quick.

I recently refinanced my mortgage with Aurora. Stanley Mitchell was my mortgage consultant. The overall experience was excellent. The initial information on rates was accurate, the costs were transparent, the technology to upload documents was excellent, and overall the process was very smooth. I would strongly recommend Stanley and Aurora. I plan on using them again on another property later this year.

I found Aurora Financial in Yahoo finance search, when I was shopping for rates to re-finance my home mortgage. Aurora had the best rate in that day and Stanley Schurtz was assigned to my case. Stan was one of the greatest bankers that I have ever dealt with. He made this process so easy and strait forward. Every thing was done by emails. I had my closing 2 days ago (took about 5 weeks) and need to say that Stan is A+++++. He is very knowledgeable and this makes things flow easy and fast. I recommend Stan and Aurora as a A+ for mortgage and refinance shoppers..

When we decided to purchase my home spoke with many lenders. It wasn't until I spoke with Dave Gravely until I thought I was actually getting straight answers with different options. Dave took the time to explain the process out and give some guidance. This was me, and my wife's first purchase and we needed to work with someone that we felt comfortable with. I got my home in California refinanced with Aurora Financial in April 2013. I got the exact low rate they had advertised on Zillow and their own website – there were no hidden fees etc. I started my loan process on 4/3 and was in a rush to close by 4/18 since I was going out of country on 4/19. And, they closed the loan in little over two weeks! There were a few complexities in my application due to my immigration status, but Stan Mitchell (Sr. Mortgage Consultant) and Maria Bouhou (Loan Processor) worked extra hard to make sure my loan was closed in time. Both Stan and Maria were easy to work with, extremely accessible and very meticulous and diligent. I couldn’t be happier with Aurora Financial – they have my highest recommendation.

We are happy with our interest rate. Stan was very friendly and pleasant to talk with on the phone. This refinance required more paperwork than previous refinances, but we were able to complete all of the paperwork over email.

I did my homework not only on rates, but also on reputation. After all of the mortgage company issues in the past few years, it was important to me that I was dealing with someone reputable and not "shady." I settled on Aurora due to its rates, fees, and reputation. They lived up to their reputation and truly are amazing at how quickly they can get you through the process. Makes you wonder what everyone else is doing when they take so long. Stan and Karen were very knowledgeable and helpful when needed. I would definitely recommend Aurora to anyone and will use them again in the future.

I tried 2 other mortgage companies before Aurora and I walked away from those after few weeks into the process. Ameri Save was one of them and I would suggest everyone to stay away from Amerisave. I canceled the whole thing after paying for credit report and appraisal. They were that bad. I almost decided not to refi anymore, but a friend of mine suggested Aurora. I have to tell you, I was little skeptical before making that first phone call, but I am glad I did. These guys were very good, Stan Mitchell especially and then Marzetta with closing. Their process was as simple as it can be. They were quick with responses, status updates and follow-ups. It would a been even better and easier, if there is a way to upload all the documents onto their website instead of sending emails/faxes. Thank you Aurora. Keep up the good work.

The refinance with Aurora was painless from the start to end. I received the quote from Steve Haynes and we were closed within 17 days... awesome customer service. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to refinance painlessly and quickly. We also got a great interest rate and terms. Recommend anyone looking to refinance to get all your bank statements, W2s, pay statements, etc., together before you start... it can be a fast moving train. This was the second online mortgage company I've used. Generally, I'm not a fan of the whole real estate process. I think its full of people who have no idea what the regulations are, particularly since the whole financial mess these past few years.



As with all things, do your homework! The reason I go with online mortgage companies is because they generally have a lower cost for the loan. If you do what's in your control, mainly, your homework and get your paperwork in ontime, then its a matter of finding a knowledgeable and cost effective mortgage company.



Of ALL the mortgagors I've used, and I've used local reps from Bank of America and Wells Fargo in addition to online, I have to say Aurora seemed to have the mortgage process fairly well defined and executed very well. Of the online mortgagors I've used, and I'll name the other one because I want people to reconsider them, (American interbanc), Aurora by far was the better of the two. They had better staffing that were knowledgeable, answered my questions, dealt with changes in the options that I wanted, and followed up with me in a timely and efficient manner. Particularly, Stan Schurtz. He was kind, answered my questions and was more aware of the regulations and the changes that have occurred since the financial debacle.



Aurora was able to get my loan turned around within 2 1/2 weeks. It was stressful as I had just switched mortgagors (American Interbanc) because of delays and mis information both from them and my real estate agent. Still, Aurora pulled through and I am grateful.

PS, I didn't give a 5 star mainly because I did end up paying a little more that I had expected. Had I more time I would've shopped around again. i'm sure there are other places that may have met my cost requirements. However, I would give 5 stars to Stan Schurtz and his team. They were great folks.

Aurora Mortgage ( Aurora Financial) helped me change my mortgage from an ARM to a 15 year fixed at an excellent rate. I basically knocked off 9 years of my mortgage and I am paying $60 less a month than I was paying. Stan Schurtz got everything out to me in a timely manner and explained the process/timeline to complete the refinance. Aurora's rates and terms were the best I could find. I was very skeptical about doing business strictly on line at first, but having the documents sent to me for my electronic signatures took very little time to complete. Aurora closed my loan in about 3 1/2 weeks. This process was extremely easy and I have already recommended them to my friends.
