Ray's Auto Sales

I saw an ad on Craigslist for a VW Beetle and it looked like a great price for a beetle, so I called the number. Ray answered and he told me the car was in the shop, I thought to myself that's great he's even getting it fixed before I get it. He told me the car would be ready in 3 days. So I called on the third day and he said that the car was done and he didn't want to go get it because he was in Vacaville and it was in Sacramento. So I was like okay that isn't that bad I have to wait one more day to get a fixed car.
So the next day I go to Vacaville to meet him and he tells me the day before that I should meet him at 12 o'clock, and when I got there he said he wouldn't make it until 4 o'clock. I was even fine with that but then he texts me that, "So you know I have a dealer license right so I've got to charge the tax and license on this and it comes out to 4400". I get there finally and the front headlight is out, the back tail light is broken has a gapping hole in it. Didn't buy.

I purchased a Nissan Altima 2006 for $4400 About a month later had it looked at and was told the timing chain ($2,500 fix) needed to be replaced. Ray sold it to me as is which means I couldn't return it after 24 hours and he pretty much told me tough luck kid! My fault for not being more thorough but it was only my second car and now I am stuck with a car i can't drive or afford to fix. However I learned a lesson not to trust people like I did before ...

This business is a rip off. I have never received a receipt and when I call to make sure he received my payments, he does not answer my phone calls and his voice mail is full. I have look his business up on BBB and ofcourse this business is not listed. So if you buy a car from this business, let me the first to say that you are getting ripped off and good luck trying to get the title, unless you pay for a car in full and it is not worth its money!
