I was lied to and overcharged to ship my package.



I normally print the shipping labels at home and drop off at Fedex locations but this time I wasn't sure of the weight of the package so I brought it down to Shiprite on Oneida Square. Before I did I looked up the price with a guess on the weight(At home $65 Fedex). When I weighed it at the store the clerk told me $95(Shiprite price using Fedex). I said, it must be wrong, I guessed the weight( 50lbs) at home and I came up with $65, the clerk told me that it is up to Fedex to determine the price(COMPLETE LIE!) and proceeded to tell me every excuse to get me to ship it, saying they(fedex) charge more for late shipping(later in the day), closer to the holidays, my computer figure was wrong, etc... At this point it was too late to ship elsewhere and I thought maybe the clerk was right, so I shipped it with them.



When I got home I looked again online with the correct weight(55 lbs) and again I came up with $65. I called Fedex and they told me that Shiprite dictates their prices and Fedex just charges a base price, with a discount to Shiprite. Shiprite charged $30-45 to slap a sticker on the box.



Let me make this clear, SHIPRITE CHARGED $30-45 TO SLAP A STICKER ON THE BOX.



I went back to Shiprite and told the clerk they deceived me and he said he didn't know, YEAH RIGHT! They have no pricing, no signage about their prices and the clerk told me they dont charge. In the end they told me too bad, were rude and had attitude. COMPLETE SCAMMERS!

I asked to have the owner call me, never contacted me.



I am all for supporting business that are honest and fair. I understand they have expenses and are trying to make money but when an employee blatantly lies to get business and overcharges for a simple services(slapping a sticker on a box) and is rude to a customer making a valid complaint, then they(Shiprite) deserve to be put out of business.
