Historic Pow Wow Restaurant and Lizard Lounge

We were recently doing a road trip to Arizona and back and ran onto this jewel of a restaurant that we had to stop at going out and coming back home! When they’re busy it’s definitely worth the wait as they have excellent food and service.

Terrible experience!
Wish I was able to give this establishment a zero star review because even giving it one star is more than they deserve!
To begin, I was there with my 78 year old grandparents, boyfriend, and my sister. My grandparents ordered wine, and if our waitress’ service was half as reflective as the time she spent ID-ing my grandparents, that would have been awesome, but sadly, this wasn’t the case.
We ordered something relatively simple from the menu, however when our waitress brought out our order, it wasnt even close to what we asked for. It’s took 3 times for her to get it right. And that’s not even the worst part! A cook comes out from the back and openly says “What the f*ck” as if this was OUR fault our waitress could relay our order correctly. When we tried to address this with the manager, he explained this same cook is also the OWNER of the POW Wow. Typical Tucumcari. It is very clear why this town is going to crap. We spent $93.00 for this experience and will never eat here again. Highly recommend spending your money elsewhere and with people who know a thing or two about customer service and how to run a business!

Very good and the people is very good and the food is out of this world people will have to come try it
