Sinusitis
The physicians at Valley ENT provide specialized treatment for children's nose and sinus conditions from the fairly common to the fairly rare. These include acute and chronic sinusitis, deviated septum, nasal obstruction, removing foreign bodies from the nose, and nasal encephalocele.
Medical Weight Loss
Snoring or sleep apnea may develop because of enlarged adenoids or tonsils. Treatment for these conditions may include surgical removal of the tonsils and adenoids if the symptoms are significant and the tonsils and adenoids are enlarged, Removal of the tonsils and adenoids is done through a safe, minimally invasive procedure. Not every child with snoring or apnea should undergo surgery. Other treatments may include continuous positive airway pressure ventilation (CPAP). Overweight children are at increased risk for sleep disordered breathing because fat deposits around the neck and throat can also narrow the airway. Weight loss and treatment of other underlying conditions can also help improve the symptoms of sleep apnea.
Pediatric Care
Michael J. Fucci, MD is the medical director at Arizona Hearing & Balance Center and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in the subspecialties of otology and neurotology that includes both pediatrics and adults. Dr. Fucci just recently welcomed Dr. Adam Cassis, another House Ear Clinic trained otologist/neurotologist to his practice.
Snoring
Snoring and sleep apnea are interrelated conditions of the throat. Snoring is more common and affects nearly half of all Americans.
Primary Care
Ear nose and throat disorders comprise at least 20% of presenting complaints in the primary care setting. Valley ENT is committed to our shared responsibility for otolaryngic education and we also understand primary care physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants have limited time to stay updated on changing guidelines and advances in managing common ENT disorders. Ear Infections
Hearing loss affects one in ten North Americans. The unique domain of otolaryngologists is the treatment of ear disorders. The Physicians and Audiologists at Valley ENT are trained in both the medical and surgical treatment of hearing loss, ear infections, balance disorders, ear noise (tinnitus), and some cranial nerve disorders. Otolaryngologists also manage congenital (birth) disorders of the outer and inner ear. If you are suffering from any of the above conditions, consider having a complete hearing evaluation by a Valley ENT audiologist and a medical evaluation by a Valley ENT ear, nose and throat physician.
Sleep Disorders
Just like adults, many children suffer from sleep disorders that prevent them from getting enough sleep. Sleep disorders, such as problems falling asleep and sleep apnea, affect your child's ability to get the sleep needed for good growth, development and overall health.

Speech disorders or speech impediments are a type of communication disorder where 'normal' speech is disrupted. Many disorders can affect our ability to speak and communicate. They range from saying sounds incorrectly to being completely unable to speak or understand speech. Valley ENT's physicians are committed to determining the causes of our patients' speech disorders, which may include hearing disorders and deafness; voice problems, such as dysphonia or those caused by cleft lip or palate; speech problems like stuttering; developmental disabilities; learning disorders; autism; brain injury; and stroke.

Chemotherapy
Head and neck cancers include those that occur in the structures of the neck, throat, mouth, nose, and sinuses. The majority of head and neck cancers are caused by the use of tobacco products and alcohol. Head and neck cancer may lead to difficulties with swallowing, breathing, talking, and eating. Head and neck cancer may be treated with radiation therapy, chemotherapy, surgery, or a combination of treatment types. Valley ENT physicians are well trained and experienced in all aspects of diagnosis of diseases of the Head and Neck, which would refer more to the non-sinus and ear part of the specialty. This has to do with anything from mouth lesions, sore throats, hoarseness, swallowing disorders, as well as lumps in the neck for both the adult and pediatric population.
