Taylor Rental Center

I have rented a vast number of tools and equipment from this place. Upon returning an aluminum break/bender 2 hours late, I was charged almost the full price that it cost ontop of the original price. I will definitely NOT be returning to rent anything else. It is clear they do not like return business nor do they care about their customers.

I rented a 20x40 foot do-it-yourself tent for my wedding reception from Taylor rental to protect the guests, tables, chairs, decorations and the like from inclement weather. The tent was set up on Friday May 24 2013, that night we received a rainstorm, when I arrived early Saturday morning to finish setup for the reception that afternoon, everything under the tent was soaked, not damp, soaked. I was forced to find a hall somewhere else the morning of my wedding and beg family to help set up the hall, my wife/ bride to be was in hysterics because of the ruined reception. We pulled through the day, and on Sunday went to pick up the tables and chairs to return them elswhere, I inspected the canopy of the tent and found that it was full of hundreds of holes, where sunlight could come through, and also water. Taylor Rental had told me that they did not want me to return a wet tent, and so I left with my bride for our honeymoon, with instructions for family on taking the tent down, and returning it. Upon the return the holes were pointed out to the owners, I have picture evidence, each hole received a piece of duct tape next to it, and they refused to return my 60 dollar deposit because as they said, they couldn’t rent the tent out that weekend. I would hope not with that many holes in it. They also refused to return any money whatsoever for their equipment being faulty. My wedding reception was ruined, and I was forced to pay for an additional indoor space because their tent leaked so badly. I would not recomend them to anyone. ever.

The wedding lady at Torrington, CT store was great service and helpful although once the bill gets paid and a delivery is made that's when it stops.





Part of our order was 150 chairs at $3/piece and she had SPECIFICALLY drilled into all of our heads (in front of the bride and 4 family members, mind you) that these chairs weren't for outdoor use and would come in bags. The chairs had been delivered at the wedding location with 75 chairs having 6" of mud on the legs, none of them having bags.





When we called Taylor Rental to try to address this issue... The lady told us that we would not be getting new (non muddy) chairs or a partial refund. She also denied ever saying they were not for outdoor use when clearly 5 of us had heard her say this on our first visit.





If you want guaranteed last minute disasters (Father of the bride and volunteers having to scrub down every single chair) or to waste your money, please, by all means go with Taylor Rental.
