The average time to close on the purchase or sale of a home is approximately six to eight weeks from the time both parties execute the sale contract.

Medical Malpractice
Medical negligence, also known as medical malpractice, involves actions or inactions by a doctor that no other reasonable doctor would have taken in similar circumstances. Doctors do not have to be perfect but they do have to be competent. The rules in New York require that in most cases before a doctor can be sued, another doctor has rendered an opinion that the offending doctor’s conduct fell below an acceptable standard of care. When a doctor falls below the standard of care and causes injuries, that doctor must pay money compensation for the harms that he or she has caused. Doctors frequently protect themselves from losses by having malpractice insurance.

We all know at some point we will lose a loved one or we may unexpectedly leave our loved ones. Drafting your Last Will and Testament states how you wish to pass on your earthly possessions as well as to name a guardian for your children under the age of eighteen. Having a Will gives you peace of mind and allows you to provide for your loved ones as you desire. Estates law involves probating the Will of a recently departed loved one. When your loved one passes, such as a parent, and that person had a home, financial accounts or other holdings that need to be transferred, you may need to probate the deceased person’s Will or have an Administrator appointed for persons dying without a Will. If your loved one passes, please call us and we will assist you in determining what, if any, legal work you will need to do to properly transfer your loved one’s holdings.
