Cake In A Cup

I had heard friends talk about cake in a cup and thought I would try them when I was looking for birthday cupcakes. I bought lemon, chocholate mouse and red velvet. The one common complaint I had with all three, the flaor was definitely not as good as I thought but most of all the texture.. They were all sooo heavy and dence. Not fluffy at all. Very disapointed and will not return.

I've spent a lot of money here, this was one of my favorite places. However, after today I will NEVER spend another dollar here. I had a small request to add sprinkles on one cupcake for my 6 year, who was standing there with me. The cashier refused, I asked to speak to a manager, she called the owner who also refused to add sprinkles. If customers mean so little to this establishment that someone could not throw a few sprinkles on a cupcake, it says a lot about this business and is definitely not a place I want to give my business to any longer! My child stood there with a sad look on his face. Rather than appease a 6 yr old by doing something so simple as add a few sprinkles to one of the cupcakes, they accepted my return on all of the cupcakes I just purchased. I'm highly disappointed in the staff and the owners. After all the money, I've spent there, I feel cake in a cup basically had a screw you and your kid attitude. I guess I will have to find a new cupcakery. Shame on you Cake in a Cup!!!!!!! You just lost my business and hopefully the business of everyone I know!

Brides do not waste your time! I scheduled a wedding cake meeting/tasting with Cake in a Cup on a Sunday morning because the owners were going to be out-of-town on Saturday. Sunday morning I arrive and the owners do not! Instead the sales women behind the counter had to oversee my tasting and she was clueless! She couldn't answer most of my questions except to tell me I would have to provide the display, decoration, and outer cupcake wrappers myself! They do not customize cupcake frosting colors, the only option is whatever comes with that flavor. They only provide a square stainless steel cupcake stand - any other design or display must be provided by the bride. They don't make cutting cakes so I would need to find another bakery to provide the top level cake. I would need to provide and assemble (at the reception!) the fancy outer cupcake wrappers. Also you are limited on the flavors to choose from. Since they already had a wedding scheduled in May the day before mine, I was told I couldn't have any flavor that bride choose because THEY DON'T MAKE THE SAME FLAVOR TWO DAYS IN A ROW! To top it off their estimate was over $300 more than an all-inclusive wedding cake bakery I visited the day before. This place is ridiculous and a waste of time if you want a sophisticated wedding cupcake display. And their cupcakes were just so-so. The frosting is too sweet and the red velvet had a horrible aftertaste.
