Black Rock State Park

Black Rock state park in CT is open for park enjoyment from sunrise to sunset all year round. Black Rock fishing is predicated on the established fishing rules and regulations established by the state. Black Rock Campground is available for weekend camping only from Opening day of the fishing season to Memorial day when t oopens for full week camping up until LAbor day weekend. Black Rock is a beautiful nature treasure nestled in between some very hectic city areas like Waterbury and Hartford, CT. Black Rock has been greatly improved over the last several years much to the delight of those who frequently visit her! The Park office and manitaince staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. The Park Rangers are dedicated in making this a safe, enjoybale place to visit for all, all are also kind and helpful. Tom the Senior Park Ranger is truly an asset to this park, he is a very knowledgeable person about a great deal of subjects including FISHING, camping, local wildlife and places to go to to enjoy these subjects as well. he is also very vigilant i maintaining the well being, safety and positive park expieiriences of all those who come to visit. Remembering that the PARK is an alcohol free park-established by the STATE for the safety and well being of ALL is highly recommended for those who come to camp there will only serve to help you and the others who camp there enjoy a positive expierience. This is a natural treasure!
