Gold's Gym

I was looking for a gym in the Temple TX area so I went to the web site. Looked at the membership details and read the following for one person.

$29.99 per month
Enrollment Fee$50
This membership includes unlimited group exercise classes and a personal Fitness Profile with a Gold's Gym Coach to help you find your starting point.

I'm retired military and I noticed they offer a discount for Fire Fighters, Police and Military both active and Veterans for one as follows.

$31.99 per month
Enrollment Fee$49

Now I'm not a genius but I'm not seeing a discount, in fact you pay more per month with a dollar less enrollment fee. I emailed the gym via the website which states a staff member will be contacting you shortly. Well that never happened. This speaks volumes to me and should be a red flag for anyone thinking about joining this gym.

I relocated in March and cancelled in February. I have been billed ever since. My last payment was supposed to be March....it’s now July. I have provided proof of my move and still nothing... I have called every month for the last three and sent emails for the last two. It’s sad that a place that I really enjoyed going to makes me never want to join another Golds Gym again. It’s really not complicated and I don’t know why they won’t help their clients so that they might return in the future. If you plan on never canceling you might be great but otherwise prepare to pay for several extra months... prepare for monthly calls and endless aggravation... They DO NOT care about you .. they will question you and your integrity and they will be rude and unhelpful...
