David Pressley School of Cosmetology

I have very long, thick hair. I haven't had a hair cut in almost 3 years. I went in so nervous because I have had bad experiences with salons before. My hair hadn't been washed in 2 days & was full of knots. The girls looked very nervous at first but once I started talking to them & asking questions, & they were fine. I got a shampoo, condition, a deep conditioning treatment, 2 inches cut, blow dry, & style for $20. Jessica was my stylist along with the help of a guy. His name might of been Patrick. The instructor Shauna was very nice and helpful. My hair looks so good and is so smooth. Will definitely return!

I had a great time going to school here! There are knowledgeable instructors and awesome lesson plans that really teach you what you need to know. I was far more prepared taking my state boards than anyone else I took them with, thanks to David Pressley School of Cosmetology !!!

All of the reviews on this page were written by staff members of the school, i went here and can speak for a lot of people when i saw that this school is horrible, the instructors are rude and play favorites with the students, other instructors have quit due to the amount of drama that goes on in the school and on account of the instructors bad mouthing the students behind their back and its a dirty out dated facility that robs students of thousands of dollars by charging them to be absent. The financial aid councelors are con artists that will prey on people who dont understand financial aid and would NEVER recommend this school to anyone. Be aware.

I attended David pressley and I can confidently say that all those great reviews for this establishment are fake. I have never met a student that liked David pressley. We were treated like five year olds and our instructors were on power trips. The owner rips off the students and the average overage in absent fees is approximately $2000. If you clock in two seconds late from lunch, they send you home. If your shoelaces aren't black, they send you home. If you didn't answer one question out of 50 on your homework, they send you home. Every hour you aren't in school, they charge you. The clients are treated horribly and I would never recommend this place. There are instructors that have never even worked in a salon and totally mess peoples hair up.

it's a very good school. You will gain a lot of knowledge. The teachers are fun and very personal on a teacher student basis. Shellac is avaiable and the klix hair extensions are great!

This is a great school and has more then you would find in any salon. The students are taught well and show an awesome amount of talent. I always get a great haircut and haircolor. Relaxing atmosphere and great people. The instructors are very good with the students.

I am a student at David Pressley. The instructors are amazing, they are friendly and constructive. The school keeps up with all the latest styles and techniques, like klix extensions, shellac, feather extensions, and tinsel. There are so many clients that can't stay away because they love David Pressley too. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This school may be small and but its what makes it beautiful. The teachers are attentive, smart, and witty. Not to mention they really know their stuff! I love this place. The school, the atmostphere, and the teachers. DP is THE BEST school in the state, so if you're looking to get a haircut from a student who knows what to do or go to schhol here stop looking because we're the best

The school may be one of the smaller ones but don't let it fool you the knowledge and skills taught by the instructors is incredible!!! Not to mention the students are well trained and ready to go out into their field (I can say that from experience). I would recommend attending this school or just stopping by to get a service done!

students are super helpful and friendly. everyone has their own techniques and work hard to perfect their skills. the teachers are also willing to help you and are attentive with students and clients.

I've been coming to this particular beauty school for some time now for a variety of services ranging from haircuts to colors, perms and sets, cholesterol treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures. When I visit this beauty school I usually get "The Works". There is nowhere else I have ever been for these type of services that is anywhere near as reasonably priced (in fact downright bargains considering the time and attention you receieve) as here. Every student (and instructor for that matter) that I've had contact with have been incredibly friendly and accommodating. What I love most is how they truely treat my like a VIP. It is the MOST relaxing, soothing time that anyone could ever hope for in a wonderfully caring environment. I will continue patronizing this school as I think they are the BEST beauty school in this state. I have tried many others as well but will keep coming back here. I would even rate this particular establishment above the Pressley-Royal Oak one primarily because I think the facilities are more spacious and everyone is always so welcoming. I fully intend to do my part to keep them in business. THANKYOU !

As a David Pressley graduate, I have nothing but great things to say about this establishment. The staff provides a fun atomosphere that keeps you wanting to come to school day after day, from the administration personnel to the instructors, they are all equally there to help you. I have been a David Pressley graduate for almost a year, and can honestly say this school's name is very well known, and is often a key point noticed on my resume. I would suggest stopping in and seeing what this school is about. My time at David Pressley was very beneficial, and the time just flew by, as I learned, my creativity built and I grew as an individual. I aquired so much knowledge that my career was a giant step in the right direction, the day I hit 1500 hours. Thank you so much David Pressley- downriver campus for making me the cosmetologist I am today.

So i didn't have much money, and a friend suggested me to david pressley school......she said it's cheap and they do a GREAT JOB! I was a little nervous but i went anyways...........I LOVED MY HAIR!!!! The best updo i had ever had :) i paid 30 dollars and looked great!!! I will def go back and tell everyone to go Thanks for making me look good

I was a former David Pressley student at David Pressley, Taylor location. It is a very welcoming atmosphere and the whole staff made me feel right at home. I learned so much while I was a student every teacher really cared about my education.. along with all the other students. I would DEFINITELY recommend this school to anyone, you wont regret it!
