Friedin Bruce

I'm a 46 year old man who first started seeing Mr. Friedin as a teenager. When I was 7 years old, I was violated by an employee of the Syosset Community Park. The man took me into the bathroom, pulled down my pants and fondled me. It's something which affected me greatly and to a degree, still does to this day.
When I disclosed this intimate, grossly-illegal and awkward part of my life to Mr. Friedin, he laughed at me and said "haha, that was nothing." Imagine being a teenager, divulging something so personal and embarrassing and being laughed at and condescended for it. Aside from his arrogance and utter lack of true empathy for those who go to see him, Mr. Friedin's advice was only the same, or slightly better than that of a good friend. A friend's advice is free though while Mr. Friedin's is more costly, in more ways than one. Needless to say a person doesn't go to see a psychologist to be laughed at, mocked and made to feel worse than before they came.
If you're looking for someone to laugh at you, act unprofessionally, inundate you with an incessant fake smile and condescend you when you reveal intimate details of your life, then by all means Mr. Friedin is your man. Otherwise avoid this man and choose one of the many other more compassionate therapists available to you.
