What is the cost and does my insurance cover any of the weight loss program cost? BW Body and Wellness does not believe in one cookie-cutter approach to weight loss, simply because it does not work. Insurance coverage on weight loss is variable and dependent on several factors: 1) the type of insurance coverage you have matters, 2) if you have any medical problems arising from your weight, and 3) your starting weight. If insurance is used, then there may be out-of-pocket costs until your deductible amount is reached. With your first visit we will try our best to inform you of the level your insurance carrier can help you with your overall cost. *Medicare patients are now being covered for weight loss management and counseling for a specific period of time and perhaps longer if weight loss goals are met. There is not one pricelist that applies to everyone because a personalized weight loss management plan will be formulated by Dr. Betty Wang and yourself. We can provide a receipt if you choose to submit any charges to your health savings account. The cost of food supplements or vitamins is an out of pocket expense.
Nutritional Counseling
BW Primary Care is proud to offer a nutrition and lifestyle coaching program for those patients who seek to improve their health via a practitioner-guided, personalized weight loss program. Our team utilizes an evidence-based approach that includes nutritional counseling, diet modification, pharmacologic therapy, vitamin supplementation, exercise recommendations, behavioral strategy and serial weight/body measurements.
