Powersource, a division of Fifth Rock Software, Inc, is a nationally recognized company providing quality web development, e-commerce, database design, and software application-programming services. Established in 1994, Powersource was one of the first web development companies in the nation. As a female-minority owned business, the founder, SueEllen Strapp, was an early pioneer in the field of Internet technologies. In 2000, Powersource incorporated as Fifth Rock Software Inc. paving the way for new growth and leadership. As a visionary, Powersource has assisted organizations both private and governmental to adapt their offerings to the web in a way that expanded their business and/or educational offerings to a wider audience via the Internet. At the heart of the company's growth has been a dedication to excellence in service, quality and value for each client; a desire to work on rewarding projects; and a commitment to making a major contribution to the growth of technology assisted education. The success of Powersource is a by-product of the firm's commitment to client growth and satisfaction. Once established, many of the company's early clients have gone on to develop their own Internet technology groups based largely on the protocols and standards set by Powersource. As a result more than seventy percent of the firm's consultancy work is for repeat clients. Powersource has been recognized repeatedly for achievements in the web development industry. As a member of the community, Powersource has been an instrumental technology partner of Fort Bend Independent School District. Powersource represented the district as a member of the Texas Super Collider Project - planning the disbursement of the scientific equipment distributed by the Department of Energy after the closing of the Super Collider Project in 1996. Powersource assisted in the development of a strategy for integrating the resultant technology into the school system.
